Karuah kicked and bucked as the snow fell. With squeals of excitement she propped and shied, so swift and splendid; a shining silver filly. a wombat snuffled past, and Karuah followed behind. Then it vanished into its burrow, and all she could see of it were its beady black eyes as it stared, unblinking, back at her. The filly trotted over to Rezar, turning to nip at him playfully before darting off, back to her dam's side.
Corowa pawed the snow lightly, and Karuah lowered her head to graze on the sodden mountain grass. When the bay brumby mare laid back her ears, Corowa snorted a warning and struck out with a foreleg. Her own ears flicked back and forth, and Karuah, head upflung, looked on with interest. In the two years that had passed since Corowa had first danced amidst the snowgrass and heath, the mare was no longer a timid and fearful filly.
Here where the winds blew fiercest; where the mountains fell away, impossibly steep, Corowa had been born. And so in turn, Karuah had been brought here so that the little silver filly would know of the mysteries of the bush, would return always to the south. When the stallion came and stood close behind her, Corowa turned and nosed his shoulder, blowing through her nostrils noisily. "I am sorry," she said quietly. "But perhaps once more will a grey brumby mare dance for a stallion who seems of the sun itself. For there cannot be darkness and storm without the sun, such as there cannot be day without night."

Corowa struck out a foreleg and Wyuna clacked her teeth in annoyance. After all she hadn't actually done anything to the other mare. Wyuna pinned her ears and swung her hindquarters to face the other mare, plainly letting her know that she was in no mood for socializing, as if she needed telling. Wyuna wasn't exactly giving off the "friendly vibe", even without the pinned ears and bared teeth. Turning, she caught sight of Rezar and her attitude soured ever further. After all it was his fault that she was pregnant. She glared at him. It was mainly a facade though. More than anything, Wyuna was mad at herself for giving in to weakness and seeking the company of horses. She wasn't keen on the idea of having a foal with a random stallion, especially with this neurotic stallion who was obviously afraid of his own mares- judging by the pathetic look he was giving Corowa as he approached her. Wyuna snorted in disgust, stamping her hoof then swinging her head to nip at her flank as a particularly large snowflake landed there. Oh great.. Snow. Just what she was hoping for. She wasn't about to get excited by freezing water falling from the sky and killing the grass. She wasn't a freaking silver "snow" filly. Of course, Corowa had said she wanted to stay up here so her silver princess could get a chance at freedom, which really wasn't helping Corowa's case in Wyuna's books. Huffing out a frusterated breath Wyuna cocked one of her hindlegs and closed her eyes halfway, ears still pinned back, to make an attempt at rest. As much as she hated the idea of having this stallion's baby, she knew she had to keep in atleast somewhat good condition so that she had no birthing complications come spring. OOC: hmm, no offense to anyone I hope you know that. Wyuna's kind of harsh .... just a bit

Wyuna’s body language was painfully clear, and Rezar took the hint and stayed near Corowa.
He had never been born with Wyuna or even Corowa’s fighting spirit, his Dam had been as sweet as could be. After his capture, he had succumbed to the life of a tame horse and for years merely followed instructions without complaint to please his riders. Staring fights tended to equal a beating over the head. Every horse he had even been turned out with or gotten close to had eventually been taken away, so it was understandable he had a heart attack whenever one of his mares disappeared or that he was unwilling to get into any sort of conflict.
Apparently still hadn’t caught up to him that now, for the first time is was his right to take the lead. Instead all he did was groom Corowas wither in a resignated fashion wand watch Wyuna with his lateral vision, hoping if he gave her some time she would eventually calm down.

That's right stallion thought Wyuna Stay away. She watched Rezar through half closed eyes, still in a resting position. If she wasn't entirely happy, ok happy at all, with this stallion at least he took the hint and kept out of her way. Satisfied that he'd got the message she closed her eyes fully and drifted off into a half-sleep, head nodding slightly and the lines of her body relaxing just a bit. In her sleep Wyuna looked more like what she truly was: a young pregnant mare who'd been through too much in her short years, was trapped where she didn't want to be and unhappy with life. The snow drifted down, a layer settling on her back, but Wyuna didn't bother to shake it off.
