After the slightest pause, the stallion's answer came forth. "Most certainly." Aruna shook her mane in delight, a please nicker coming from her nostrils. "I can't tell you how much I appreciate it," And her words were true; the grulla mare had grown so tired of wandering through the cold and hostile mountains. The solitary life, she had found, did not fit her well. So Aruna allowed herself to bask in relief and happiness, if only for a brief minute. Even so, she kept the magority of her emotions to herself; jumping around in glee was not what she deemed appropriate.
The white mare's loud stammer broke the calm of the moment. Aruna cast a wierd glance at her, wondering what was the reason for her blundering. After a frusterated flick of her ear, Aruna rid her face of expression. Her gaze peered into the mare's eyes, a bit too long and intense to be an ordinary look. But it could hardly be noticed, as a few seconds later Aruna broke the concentration. Afterwards, Aruna resumed listening to the stallion. She noted the way he was so polite, so eager to make peace. When he finished, Aruna lifted her head, slightly angling it to the side. "I'm not sensitive." It wasn't accusing or harsh, just a soft reminder to the roan. The words were slightly controversy; Aruna had deep fealings that could be hurt, but not because the stallion failed to be polite when he spoke. So it worked anyway.

The Lipizzaner grazed calmly while the two horses chatted, keeping an eye on them and an eye on the den of foxes from before. They were watching with glittering black eyes, waiting for the big horses to leave so they could go hunt. She flicked her ears at them, which made them jerk in surprise. Tensed and ready for running away, Nirrike wondered. The stallion addressed her, and she looked up again, politely paying attention. He wanted her to go with him. She nibbled on a piece of grass that was stuck on her lip while she pondered the decision, given a bit of extra time when the other mare drew the stallion into their conversation again. Did she want to be with someone? And if she went with him, she would have to compete with that pale mare beside him and this other horse who creeped her out a bit. She honestly didn't know, and backed up a bit, tossing her head up and down. OOC- You need to be a bit more than polite to get her to come with you as in, she doesn't know whether she can trust him because he's too quiet and nice. Weird, yeah, but that's how her mind works xP

"I'm not sensitive.". The grulla mare's words came as yet another shock to Waiirri, though he was getting better at hiding it. He cocked his head curiously at her, how did you reply to that? Deciding that you simply didn't answer that kind of statement with words he just nodded at her before turning his attention back to the lipizzaner. He was dismayed to see her back up and toss her head and he took a step forward to address her "I mean you no harm," he said to her honestly "I simply sought to offer you some kind of added protection." He was confused. What should he do to convince her to join them? If she really didn't want to well then that was that, Waiirri wasn't going to force her to join them. He wondered what she was thinking, what was she looking for from him?

Aruna snorted humorously at the stallino's reaction. He was so different from the horse you would think she'd like, so sincere and formal. But Aruna was actually relishing the chance to spice up his life, and give it some personality. The grulla mare's expression turned slightly smug, but it reverted back to normal as her attention wandered to the white brumby. Aruna didn't even have to disect the mare;s emotions; her anxiety was clear. Aruna shook her head slightly, which shifted her silvery mane. She was both frusterated and confused by the mare's emotions; why was she so cautious? Surely being with a stallion was safer than striking it out alone? Aruna lifted a foreleg as she huffed through her nostrils; she was somewhat bored by the delay. She hoped that the mare would just get over it, so that they could get going.

The filly flicked her ears back, and stepped away again. She was becoming more and more nervous, but of what she did not know. The foxes had disappeared; she had not seen them go, and could not see why they were not still watching. She looked upwards, and a flock of Gang-Gangs soared overhead, screeching out the latest gossip. It was all old, such as the King still undefeated, and that Spring was here. Silly birds, anyone could teel that it was Spring. The green grass and the wild storms had been enough for her to know. The stallion spoke to her again, and she looked him over. Protect her? Being in a herd made her more noticeable to men, and it would be far too easy to track them. Perhaps she would watch them for a while, and see if he was worth his salt. She reached out to touch his nose with her own, and spun around to gallop away, into the bush. The message was clear. She would return.

Waiirri was relieved when the light coloured mare reached out to touch his nose, at least she wasn't that afraid of him then. Just as quickly though she spun on her hooves and galloped off, leaving Waiirri to stare after her with a confused and slightly hurt expression on his face. He shook his head to clear it and walked back to the others, hoping the new mare wouldn't judge him for the grey's decision. He touched both mare's noses and blew affectionately on his little colt before raising his head "We should probably be off," he said to the mares "I feel as though we shouldn't be in one place for too long." He turned and headed off through the brush, slightly to the left of where the little white mare had disappeared. OOC: new thread? that way Aruna can have her foal

OOC: Yay!
Aruna couldn't understand a single thing about the mare. She freaks out when someone's nice, and runs away when you offer help. Aruna thought to herself, with a silent snicker. As the stallion watched the mare slip away, Aruna stole a glance at him. For some reason she found his confusion amusing, even though she herself was just as baffled. Aruna forced herself to surpress a chuckle. She then grew somber as she watched him greet his mare, and his colt. Aruna felt a twinge of happiness to see that simple moment. And just like that, the stallion was heading off. Aruna quickly stepped after him, as if afraid that he would leave her. As she drove herself into the bushes, she realized something: she had a family now.
