It was clear, fine spring day. Along the faint,winding mountain path a pale red dun filly trotted. Her tangerine coat and burnished copper mane and tail didn't exactly blend in but the shadows falling on Oolah as she went along blurred her outline. If she were to step out into the sunlight she'd be much brighter, glowing almost orange in the most direct sunlight. Her lively eyes gazed curiously at her surroundings as she scented the air for other horses. Nothing. She sighed and dropped her head to graze on the new snowgrass, ears flicking back and forth to catch any hint of movement.
OOC: pathetic, I know. but I wasn't sure how else to introduce her to Kossy :/

||~Watch out, there's a Iolo about! XD~||
Through the green colours of the Ramshead Range, a blue-y-grey figure could be seen making its way through the mountains. The stallion had been wandering for a while today, with no luck at all of finding a single living soul. Iolo sighed, he was feeling as if the world was forgetting about him. He wasn't paying much attention to his surroundings as they passed him, but his head lifted when he smelt another horse. A mare. His mismatched eyes scoured the land in front of him, and although he couldn't see anyone, he knew there was someone about. The young stallion let out a little squeal and trotted off out of the trees in search of this mystery mare. When he came to the slopes of the Ramshead, his eyes flikered back and fourth just looking for someone. The two year old closed his eyes and droped his head to graze upon the snowgrass when he spotted her. A gorgeous little chestnut filly. And no sign of a stallion! He grinned to himself and let out a nicker to let her know that he was near. He began trotting over to her, tail swaying out behind him. Oh how he aimed to please...

Oolah raised her head as she heard a nicker. Turning her head she saw a blue roan stallion making his way towards her. Eyes widening she spun around to face him, head thrown up and ears piqued forward. Her long forelock had been flicked to the side when she had raised her head and it revealed intelligent brown eyes and a startlingly white stripe down the length of her face. Her gaze was curious but a little nervous as she watched the stallion approach, every muscle taught and ready to run at the first sign of a threat.

Iolo's eyes watched keenly as the filly flicked her mane out of her eyes. The colt stopped a few feet away from her and blew through his nostrils gently. It had been a while since he'd talked properly to someone, and here was a chance for him to start a herd. Cautiously, he took another step foward and came to a halt again, He wasn't too sure what to do next, all his ideas of how he'd be when he talked to fillies in his head seemed so stupid now... He was a shy character, but he didn't like letting opportunity pass him. He hated running from opportunity. As he continued to look at the chestnut filly in front of him, he wondered if he should say something. Eventually he managed to find his tounge. "Hi" He said, dropping his gaze to the ground. It stayed there for a moment before he looked up again. "What's a pretty filly like you doing here all alone?" He asked, smiling faintly. He stood there for a few moments waiting for her to reply.

The red dun filly looked at the colt curiously as he seemed at a loss for words. She was beginning to relax at little, noticing his soft approach and shy demeanour. Hi," he said finally "What's a pretty filly like you doing here all alone?". Shyly, she looked down at her own hooves, studying their light grey colour before finally looking up "I left my birth herd a few weeks back," she said "Since then I have not encountered any horses, except now you of course." She studied him closing, noticing his bluey-grey colour and slight frame. He wasn't much older than herself she would guess.

Iolo looked shyly at the filly, a gentle nicker growing in his throat at her words. He nodded gently, and spoke again. "Ah, I see." He said softly before continuing. "I remember when I had to leave my old herd. Well, I didn't really leave it... There was a brumby drive..." He trailed off, shyness getting the better of him. He smiled appolgetically and then racked his brain to think of something that would be worth saying to her. Nothing came to mind for a while though. His missed matched eyes wandered from her face to her mane, taking in the lovely red dun colour of her coat. "I suppose that's good timing for me then?" He joked, refering to her earlier comment of how she hadn't met a soul since she'd been away from her birth herd. He grinned and then looked at his feet. "Well, umm...." Iolo muttered, trying to think of a way to ask her if she'd like to join him. If the young stallion could have blushed, he would have been as red as the little red dun filly before him. He cursed himself; 'Why do I have such a hard time letting my guard down??'

OOC: lol, Iolo's so cute <3 BIC: "I suppose that's good timing for me then?" said the colt. After his brief detour into talking about himself it took Oolah a couple of seconds to realize he was answering her previous comment. "Oh, well.." she said, not quite sure how to answer. "I guess so," she said finally, shyly extending her nose to bump his cheek. She withdrew her muzzle quickly, concerned she'd gone to far. Ducking her head she allowed her long forelock to once again cover her dark eyes.

OoC;:- Hehe, thanks lol =3 Oolah sounds adorable 'Cept she's probably more out-going than Iolo! BIC;:- Iolo felt the filly touch her nose lightly to his cheek, he was a little dazed and didn't fully realise what is was that she'd done until a couple of moments later. Grinning sheepishly, he returned the favour, noticing that Oolah looked as nervous about touching him as he must have looked himself when he didn't know what to say to other horses. He hoped that she wasn't thinking that he didn't want to know her, because he did. Oolah would be a welcome addition to his herd -which at the moment, was pretty non-existant - as would any other mare that was interested. He wondered what to say next, seeing as he didn't really want to be too upfront about asking her to join his herd. After a second or so, he found himself saying; "So, Oolah, would you like to run with me?"

OOC: thank you and we'll see, lol. she's pretty shy though BIC: Now would have been Oolah's turn to blush. "Ooh," she replied shyly, not meeting his eyes. Finally she met her resolve and looked up "Yes," she said softly "I'd love to." She nuzzled him sheepishly before dropping her head to graze once again, not quite sure what to say or do with herself. She hid behind her long forelock and mane, cropping the grass quickly with her teeth.

O o C ; Again, really sorry for the wait! <3
Iolo's miss-matched eyes lit up as she spoke and he found his muzzle splitting into a wide grin. Gosh, it's actually painful how shy I am! He thought to himself, blowing softly through his nostrils. He was about to nuzzle Oolah again, but her head shot down to the ground so she could nibble delicately at the grass. Cringing, Iolo withdrew his head, and followed suit with the filly, dropping his head to graze. When he brought it back up again, he struggled to pull some sort of words to mind about what to say next. Again. He was afraid of speaking and his lyric coming out all wrong. What would this beautiful filly think of his then? He settled for smiling at her, and before long, the perfect phrase popped into his head. "So, Oolah, where too?" Okay, maybe not perfect. But in all fairness he was a very inexperienced stallion - a slacker in many respects, too. He gently reached out his nose, and nuzzled her, feeling better as he did so. He exhaled deeply, and then faced her again with a grin, before prancing lightly toward the bank he'd just walked up, showing off his sleek body and long mane and tail. Suddenly, his shyness seemed to be melting away. He was still unsure of what would be the best thing to say next, but if he played confident, conversation was bound to present itself sometime.
