OOC: I rolled the outcome! Jirrand wins, but the roll was really close! (Jirrand was 1-4 and Kalti 5-8 and the roll was 4)

OOC: I hope I'm not interrupting, if so, just tell me. I won't interfere with the fight.
Hidden beneath an outcropping of rock, a single brown mare stood watching the tense scene, her nostrils flaring in anticipation. The white stallion, he looked so majestic and mysterious as he flitted among the shadows. Every so often Tallerk caught the gleam of his red eye, and got a tingle down her spine. It had been a while since they had met; long enough for Tallerk to recuperate, gather her strength and wits. She knew she owed her life the the nightrunner, and was beyond grateful for his assistance in her time of need. Tallerk still got nightmares in her sleep, and every so often fell back into depression and loneliness, but now she could at least think clearly.
Tallerk held her breath as the stallion's opponent approached, but he was moving too quickly, and the darkness was his element. For a moment she had felt a sense of fear for the white brumby, and she hoped he wouldn't be badly wounded. But now, as Tallerk saw his hooves lifting and his body pivoting in timeless motion, she knew he would not loose. Though perhaps, when the fight was over, Tallerk would come and check his wounds, try to return the favor he had given her. Now that she wasn't delirious, Tallerk did notice that he appeared frightening. However, deep down in her gut, she knew that she could never fear him- even as he danced this savage dance. She would not be afraid to approach when it was over.
Plus... Jirrand ...she knew his name now.

OOC: Not interrupting at all; hehe, far from it - Jirrand is happy now!
The slightest flickering of movement distracted Jirrand from the oncoming colt for a moment. He twisted himself around so that he could still see the red dun with his blue eye and search the bush for another possible threat with his red one. Hidden in the shadows that a normal horse's eye could not penetrate. beneath an outcropping of rock just above the plain where Jirrand was the mare Tallerk who he had helped to comfort and try and remove her depression. He was extremely pleased to see her, since he had not sighted her after that fateful evening down in Dead Horse Gap. He let out one joyous call just for her, and this one was not mysterious or tinged with madness. But Jirrand could not get too far ahead of himself, so he turned back to the colt with renewed vigor and energy. Now he was not only fighting for himself, but he was going to fight for Tallerk, to show her what a strong stallion he could be. He wanted to show off; the performer inside him awakened.
OOC: It's a bit on the short side, but at least it's a reply lol!

Kalti barely noticed the stallions attention drift, he bolted forward, getting closer to the dancing stallion. The whole way Katli watched him, dancing and twirling, learning what he could even though he'd never be as good as him.
Kalti reached him within a few more strides, his strides shortening as he got closer. It was then he noticed the stallions distraction, a neigh riveting from him, this time it didn't hold any of the fierceness that it had before. Confused, Kalti hesitated, skidding for a few metres, he scanned the tree line; though he couldn't see anything in the darkness. Before he could react, Jirrand was on the move again, dancing and twirling. Kalti mimiced the movements, trying to follow him. He reared up, flaring his two front legs out at the white horse.
OOC|| Sorry its so short, and congrats on the win

Kalti moved closer, within striking distance... almost. Jirrand began to sweat with anticipation and excitement. He was lucky that his call had stopped the colt mid-charge. With the red dun this close, and Tallerk watching on, Jirrand reared up, high and mighty, roaring his challenge to the moon and brought his hoof down, lashing out at the dun's head, hoping that he made contact. Yes; and it was a good hit too. But before Kalti could recover from the blow that Jirrand had given him and most likely made his head spin for a few seconds, Jirrand was off again, always moving and never stopping, dancing around in the shadows of the clearing, mocking the colt. He no longer had any fear of losing the fight; Tallerk's appearance for some reason had made him sure. He plunged and reared and darted, occasionally striking out at the colt, not trying to actually injure him just yet, more trying to exhaust and confuse him.
OOC: Thanks; Jirrand got lucky! I think fight posts are short since this one is short as well....

Kalti watched as Jirrand reared and struck out at him. He watched the hoof come down in slow motion, Kalti ducked his head to the side, catching most of the blow along his left cheek. He backed up, shaken at the impact, though it hadn't been very hard. He could feel his cheek swell up, even though it probably looked normal, Kalti swore it grew bigger.
Kalti moved away as he watched Jirrand sweep around him, striking at him every so often. The white stallion got him a few times, sometimes on the back, other times heading to far up his neck. He was sweating heavily, and he could feel himself tire, though there was no way Kalti was going down that easily. He spun on his heel, making it look as though he was about to run, instead Kalti kicked up, aiming his heels into Jirrand.
OOC|| Yea. I tell you what, I haven't fought since i first started rping, and that was like...how long ago? lol, quite a few years now. So if it sounds corny and crap, thats why lol.

Kalti kept on trying to spin around and follow, and Jirrand could tell that he was tiring him. During one circle, Kalti made to looks as though he was going to run, so Jirrand blocked his escape route only to get a drumming kick in the chest. It hadn't injured him, although it did sting a little, but really, that wasn't on in Jirrand's opinion. In the excitement of the night and the moonlight he had forgotten that the other colt would try to fight back and would not just stand there while Jirrand laid blow after blow on him. Annoyed, but determined, Jirrand swung around on his quarters and barged into the lighter horse, throwing his full weight at him, at the same time lashing out at the colt's legs, trying to either lame him or knock him off balance further.
OOC: Post.. again! This is my first fight (on Kossy anyway) so I am probably rustier than you!
