Most would have been offended by the young mares onslaught, not Embar. Yes her demeanor about the thing had shifted, simply because it wasn't a stallion pointing it out. A low rumbling chuckle rattled that wide chest. "Darl'n slow down. Now lets see 'bout them questions." Radar's flicker with thought, both of the horses she had come across beside this stream held tones that had never been heard before.
Eyes would drift over the creeks lapping waves, how did she survive the storm? Where was home? The lost feeling that coursed through her veins was sharp and quick, jerking from her musings and reminding her that she had questions to answer. Mocha lips part allowing the slow drawling voice freedom once again. "Pleasure to meet ya Hanya, names Embar. No, I don' know your ma. Yea, I've known men, and the last would depend upon the man, I suppose."
Alabastar and onyx danced lazily behind, caught in the winds playful grasp. Muscles twitch occasionally while that curious gaze came to rest on the amber mare. "My pardon Hanya, but where is here?" Again that cranium twisted sending her gaze across the beach and rocky land she had yet to explore. Days had passed and while things were strangely farmilar, they were vastly different from the world she knew.

Shifting her weight impatiently as she waited for a reply, the young mare gazed at the seemingly lost paint. Embar appeared to be consumed in her own thoughts, memories, questions, or whatever else she could have been consumed in. For Hanya, all that meant was more patience. And patience was not easy in her current state of mind. But at last the older mare spoke in her foreign tone, causing the filly to suck in her breath as she absorbed each word carefully.
The mare may not have known her mother, which in truth disappointed Hanya less than she thought it would, but she had encountered man! And possibly even been one of his faithful companions, until now. This brought the amber mare to wonder how the mare had come to be here, and her suspicion augmented with the paint’s question. ”My pardon Hanya, but where is here?”
The stocky champagne mare stared incredulously at Embar. ”You’re not serious... do you honestly not know where you are?!”[/i] At first she thought the older mare must have been joking, but the lack of familiarity to surroundings in the mare’s eyes as she scanned the scenery proved that she was telling the truth. ”Well you’re in the High Country! The most beautiful lands ever, under the rule of the glorious black stallion Tingara! Although he’s not my father. And I’ve never met him before...”[/i] Hanya finished her last sentence slowly, hanging on the thought. She found that fact very interesting. She had never seen the King! Perhaps that was something she should do sometime... but that would have to wait for another adventure.
