Binda merely snapped her teeth at Fira. Let her have her amusement, the roan didn’t want to start a fight right now... though tomorrow was certainly up for grabs if she felt better. Instead, she just happily accepted Tingara’s aid to lie down, and she easily slept soundly all morning.
Her little colt initially watched the spotted mare approach with a wide eyed fear, but quickly calmed down once he realised she meant no harm. He just turned his head to the right so she could get an itchy spot, with a very content expression on his little face. Okay, so getting licked by a stranger was certainly weird, but it was more than his Mum was giving him, so he contently waited for Crayola to finish before falling asleep again.
He was awake before Binda, and hungry to top it off. This time he managed to get to his feet on his own accord and was quickly circling his mother insistently, squealing at the top of his lungs and trying to head butt her in the way she’s been hitting Tingara. She finally woke up with a half upset, “Argh, Burnum!” and obligingly stood up, then slumped back down when he was done.
Burnum had no interest in sleeping again, so after a few other attempts to get her back up that failed, he just stood there with a lost sort of expression and looked around for help as to what to do next.

Tingara, still uneasy at the fact there was a new king and that there was a grey and black stallion that sounded suspiciously like his brother Maluka, went to the top of a rocky out crop where he could easily survey the mob and be alone with his thoughts. The morning sun began to get hot on his back and he could feel the snow melting quickly under his feet, Spring was here. Tingara breathed a sigh of relief, the incredibly hard winter was finally over.
Dilali went on in her fitful sleep until Birubi began to squeal at her for food. She stood up, nudged the filly to wards the milk and gave out a big yawn. The sleep Dilali had gotten had been terrible at best, she was still so tired. Nightmares of reasons for Aleo's disappearance had revolved through her head for the majority of the night. All of the nightmares ended up with herself being killed or captured. Dilali shook those thoughts out of her head and began to clean Birubi's fluffy mane.
Birubi suckled greedily and began to squirm feverishly when her mother began to groom her. She licked Dilali's muzzle and pulled away. She trotted clumsily around, looking for Cobalt or Kimba. "Cobalt, Kimba," she squeaked, searching all around. Birubi trotted past Binda and noticed something new, another foal! Birubi's eyes widened with excitement as she went to investigate her new brother. She sniffed at him and began to tremble with happiness. "Hi there, I'm Birubi," she said proudly, holding her head high, "wanna play?"

Cobalt reared up when he saw Birubi. "I'm here!" he whinnied, attacking air with his lifted legs. He galloped down to the colt related to Birubi and Kimba, the one he had met the day before. "I'ma Cobalt!" he said. He wondered if Kimba was going to play, or if she was going to be nasty like the day before. Hopefully this colt was playful, he didn't want to be the only one. _____________________ Valatone's ears flickered when she heard the news of a new king from a mopoke. She too was curious, who would it be? It felt strange that the king had disapeared, like something really big was empty.
While looking at the foals she noticed the new colt, Burnum. He was the one Cobalt had tried to help the night before, but succeded in waking most of the herd up along with it. Now there were two fillys and two colts, she wondered what gender Crayola's foal would be. Now that she and her where the only mares of Tingara, she hoped both their foals would be good friends as half-siblings.

Judging by the light snoring, Binda had wasted no time in falling asleep again. As for Burnum, he was slightly overwhelmed by so many foals. Okay, so there were only two, but it wasn’t as though he was very old. At first, he just said nothing, backing away a step or two and looking at Binda for help with this new situation, but the mare wasn’t stirring, so he just had to suck it up and talk to these strange people.
”I, uh... I’m Burmum,” he stammered, then shook his head peculiarly as though something was bothering him. When Birubi went to sniff him, he shied and almost sat down on his haunches. Then, looking and feeling stupid, he leapt up at her and tried to grab her ear in revenge (in a nice way) to make himself look more confident than he felt.

Birubi squealed with excitement when Burnum began to play. She half reared and cantered off to Cobalt, beckoning Burnum to follow. "Come on!" she called, cantering back to nip him and then trotting off again. Birubi thought she'd better try Kimba again so off she went to find her. Birubi approached Kimba, eying her sleeping mother cautiously. "Come play with us," she nickered as quietly as she could. She sniffed curiously at Fira's mane, Birubi didn't realize that she was straying very close to the edge by approaching the fearsome chestnut mare and her foal.

Crayola nickered to Tingara, brimming with the praise. She finished tending to the mottled little foal, but then found she had nothing to do. Grazing seemed unimportant. There was something she had to do. Nuzzling Tingara assuringly, the heavily pregnant mare wandered into the privacy of the trees and left the valley while the rest of the horses slept.
Kimba woke with the dawn while her mother - exhausted from the birth and the niggling worry of Aleo's disappearance - kept sleeping. Hungry but unable to wake Fira with a few nudges, Kimba got to her feet and walked about, testing out her legs and getting used to trotting around. She ignored the playing foals until Birubi pranced over. She eyed her up, considered for a moment, then nodded. She trotted over to the group, nipped Cobalt on the rump with a squeal then pranced away, leading a game of chase. She ran awkwardly, but soon got the hang of working all four legs at once.

Cobalt squealed with surprize as a sharp nip on his rump was felt. He whipped around and saw the mean filly from yesterday. Maybe she had gone okay. Whatever had happened, it was a game of chase that was on. He too ran a bit funny, but he never tripped over. Sometimes he nearly fell over his own legs, but he quickly shaped up and cantered after Kimba, nickering to Birubi and Burnum to fallow. "I'ma gonna get you!" he yelped, almost reaching the filly.
ooc: Lol new saying for Cobalt- "I'ma!" xD

After another quick hesitation, Burnum left his mother’s side and cantered awkwardly off after Birubi and Cobalt as they went to fetch Kimba. He was quite happy to let Birubi try to fetch the little chestnut, and he instead hovered around Cobalt, feeling awkward and glancing back at Binda every few seconds. He did manage to have the best reaction time as Kimba suddenly darted off though, but as he was still the youngest, he was basically doomed to be overtaken very quickly.
Binda then reawakened with a feeling of sudden unease. She looked around wildly, and stood up with a start to find Burnum was suddenly gone. How? He was just there! She then spotted him with the rest of the foals and exhaled in relief. Oh good.
Her relief was short lived as a sudden hail of gumnuts was thrown at her, courtesy of a pair of Gang Gangs that were chattering to themselves and staring at Tingara gleefully with their black little eyes. Had she of been paying attention, she may have caught the words ‘Black’ and ‘King’, but she was too busy flattening her ears at them and getting out of the way.

Birubi galloped happily, she finally found her balance and her legs were finally working for her. She whinnied to the other foals, nipping each in turn as she ran past. The mass game of tag was great! She fell and rolled gracefully back to her feet, maybe she hadn't quite got the hang of her legs yet.
Dilali sighed at Birubi's boisterousness and walked to Fira, settling down next to her. "How are you today Fira?" Dilali asked cautiously. She had put herself down down on the ground next to Fira so the chestnut mare would have to talk to her. Dilali sincerely cared about the mare before her, she wanted to be friends but she wasn't sure what Fira wanted.
Tingara pawed the ground nervously, now Aleo was gone where did Nevada stand, especially with himself? He was also nervous with Crayola off giving birth and he knew he wouldn't be easy until she returned safely. 'Black King,' he heard it on the wind and his heart stopped, the only black in the High Country was... himself.

Fira wanted Dilali to go away. She was just another obstacle between her and Aleo. t least she was a pushover. Grunting, Fira stood, looked about for Kimba and then called her over. The little chestnut filly galloped over, abandoning her playmates in favour of a drink. Fira looked down at the grey mare, sneering. "What would you care? Why don't you go and tame that foal of yours before she goes and gets lost." Dismissing the mare with a snort, she groomed Kimba while the foal took a long drink.
The foal had come with ease, and once they had both rested, Crayola led her new colt back to the safety of the herd. The walk was a short one, and once they had reached the herd Crayola helped the dark foal to settle. She whinnied to Tingara so she could show him off, and started grooming. She spotted the red roan foal trailing after the playing foals, and she nickered to him as if he were her own foal. To Crayola, the mottled colt was essentially hers. She had been so close to giving birth when he had staggered into the herd so new and tired that it was difficult to separate her own foal from the roan. The pair were brothers, even though they shared no blood.
