Binda watched in shock as Fira made another attempt on Valatone. She only just barely managed to get out of the way of Fira’s hooves and made a quick retreat, then changed her mind and turned back to face the chestnut with her head down and ears back to try and ward her off, though Tingara was already bellowing onto the scene before she even got close.
Though, she wasn’t quite cured of her evil ways. After Tingara had made his say she wandered past Fira and mumbled softly so the black couldn’t hear, ”Ha, can’t even hit a mare when she tries, I knew she was all talk. I bet the filly is just as stupid.” she said absently, as though talking to herself and hoping Fira would take the bait
Burnum jerked away from Crayola when the yelling from the other mares got louder. Okay, now it was staring to unnerve him. He lingered close to the appaloosa and peered out from under her stomach to see what was going on. The other foals didn’t seem to be paying much attention, and he was surprised at Cobalt in particular, if that was Binda being beat, he wouldn’t be leaving her side. ”Hey, Cobalt...” he said softly, ”Is your Mum okay?”

Raging to herself not that Tingara had gotten in the way again, Fira blatantly ignored his speech and trotted back to Kimba. She wouldn't have stopped if the white mare hadn't surrendered and faked going to sleep. She started to lead Kimba away from the herd when Binda caught up. Still furious, Fira took the bait and made a lunge at Binda, launching with her back legs and bringing her knees up as she went for a bite on the roan's back.
Meanwhile, Crayola nuzzled each of her sons in turn and tried to settle them while the other mares had their conflicts. Ammi peeked out from behind her rock, but the sound of mares fighting again sent her back into hiding.

Binda got just what she wanted... painfully. The chestnut crashed into her with a force that she wasn’t expecting and almost sent her to the ground. She’d never actually been in a fight before, and suddenly she realised just how dangerous life could be for a stallion. ”Get off me you crazy-“ whatever she said she didn’t get to finish, as she tried to get her back out of the way in case Fira tried again, then instinctively lunged out to try and bite the mare on the neck in retribution.
Burnum squealed fearfully when he saw Binda get hit and almost go down. Breaking free of Crayola he tried to run over then skidded to a halt nearby, too worried for his own safety to get any closer. He reared up as best he could, but his legs were too unsteady and he almost stumbled while trying to shout at Fira to go away. It was a cute little attempt, but admittedly quite useless.

Aware that Tingara was going to barge in and spoil her fun yet again, she lunged again and grabbed with her teethfpr an unbreakable hold on the withers of the roan, just at the base of the mane. She tried to escape the other mare's attempt at retaliation by shuffling her rump away from her head and pushed her chest closer, keeping the tension on with her back legs to throw her opponent off balance.
Kimba whinnied, a little bit unsure of what to do while her mother attacked Binda. Seeing the strawberry roan approach, Kimba decided to follow her mother's fine example. With a little rear and a cute little squeal, Kimba set her disproportionate ears back, bared baby milk teeth and chased after Burnum.

Cobalt looked at his colapsed mother, then back at Burnum, "Yeh, she's fine," he lied. He didn't really know what had happened, and he wasn't interested. Another game was about to begin! Creeping up behind her, he nipped Kimba's shoulder and leaped away, whinnying at her to chase him. (Sorry for shortness, I don't have much to say)

Prisma looked at Burnum and tried to reply. It didn't really come out how he'd planned, all that left his mouth at first were small squeaks and whinnies. Finally he managed to get out the right words. "I'm Prisma," he squeaked. Prisma was just about to nip Burnum to play when the trouble with the mares started up. He squealed in fright and darted behind his mother, trembling.
Dilali neighed in fright and anger at Fira's outbursts. She nickered to Birubi to get behind her and then she went over to back up Binda. "Fira you need to calm down!" she neighed angrily. "You should be driven away you bitter old..." Dilali didn't get to finish because Tingara came flying towards them.
Tingara roared and galloped, full speed towards Fira. He slowed but still ran into her enough to knock her away from Binda. "That is enough, all of you!" he bellowed, giving Fira and Dilali a hard nip on the wither. Tingara stood in front of Binda so that Fira didn't have a clear line of attack anymore. He shook his head, what was he going to do with Fira? "Fira," he said more calmly and quietly so only Fira could hear, "if you're going to cause anymore trouble, you can't be here. One more chance." The words hurt him, Tingara didn't want to drive away a mare, especially one with a foal at foot.

Binda was utterly milking this for all it was worth. Fira had actually managed to get quite a good hold on the base of her mane before, and Tingara ripping her away hadn’t helped. Shuffling around to act a little more hurt than she was, she gratefully accepted the Tingara shield and bared her teeth at Fira. ”No! Tingara! No more chances! Can’t you see she’s a menace?” she pleaded, then winced as her back gave a painful twinge, ”Fira’s been harassing us long before this, and apparently us having foals isn’t stopping her. At least she didn’t full on attack us before! How much worse do you think it’s going to get if she doesn’t even respect you enough to listen to what you say? I don’t want to stay in a herd where I have to watch my back all the time! What’s next after this, huh?”
Burum glanced over at Kimba’s squeal and felt a pang of shock. He flattened his ears backwards and neighed challengingly back, though just as Kimba’s squeal had been, it didn’t exactly scream ‘dangerous’. Kimba and Fira were the enemies, and he had to defend everyone... well, it made sense to him anyway. He waited as long as possible, then jumped away and tried to aim a weak little kick at her as she went by, just as he’s seen Fira do.

Baree wearily crested yet another hill stopping on the top, his head low and his nostrils flaring to catch his breath. His weariness was soon forgotton though when his flared nostrils caught the scent of other horses, lots of other horses, and nearby too. He raised his little head and strained his young eyes to see ahead of him. More hills. Sighing, Baree started on his way down, swaying slightly from exhaustion. He had been traveling all day and being less than a couple of months old he still needed his mother's milk for strenght. But his mother was dead. She had fed him yesterday, but that night she had died. Baree dropped his head sadly, even though she had never shown that much interest in him, he missed her. Pushing himself on, he reminded himself that she had said she'd be happy to be returned to his deceased sire. And she had said the best thing he could do for the three of them was to find another herd where he could find a mare to adopt him. Otherwise he would not survive. He stopped and lowered his head to nibble at the grass, hunger pushing him to try the vegetation much sooner than other foals his age. "Yuck" he spat as the bitter taste reached his mouth. He had tried it earlier and spat it out and it hadn't gotton any better since then. Sighing, he moved into a stumbling, weary trot and climbed the last hill between him and the other horses. He felt no real fear at coming into their prescense, he was too young to realize that some horses wouldn't appreciate the arrival of a foreign foal into their midst. Finally he reached the top of the hill. Looking down he saw many horses spread out in a valley, and foals too! Sticking his stubbly tail straight into the air in delight, he gave a little squeal of excitement and cantered down the hill into their midst.

Cobalt raised his head up, yet again forgetting about the others around him. Dashing forward, he went to greet this strange newcomer. He didn't belong to Tingara, nor his 'Aleo' everyone was talking about. But what could be bad about another colt? Now he had a half brother AND another colt! Hoping he was friendly, he stopped at the bottom of the hill and whinnied gleefully to Baree. "Who are you?" he yelled in excitement, "I'ma Cobalt!" _________________
Valatone woke up slowly. Fira's bruising still ached a little, but that didn't stop her from eating. Hungry as ever, she chewed on the sweet grass. She could hear Binda and Fira, both now fighting. Why couldn't the stubborn pest of a mare just go and look for Aleo and leave the herd in peace? But she held her tounge, already she had just dodged enough blows to injure her. The last thing Valatone needed was another fight. Luckily, she had recovered well and there wasn't much damage anyway.

Tingara was about answer Binda's remark when he caught the scent of a male horse near by. He began to tense and paw the ground to show the other horse his anger and strength. Tingara had no idea who it was, was it Nevada, the grey and black? He charged to where the scent was strongest but pulled up when he saw that it was a colt. A colt that was way too young to be gathering mares, in fact he didn't look more than a few weeks old. "You've wandered rather far from your mother don't you think?" Tingara snorted, this colt's herd might be nearby and that meant a stallion was aswell.
-------------------------
Both Dilali and Birubi noticed the new foal. Birubi, with much protest from Dilali, cantered over to investigate. She pushed Cobalt out the way and began to paw the ground angrily, just as she'd seen Tingara do. "What do you want in my valley stranger?" she whinnied threateningly.
Dilali came over to and snorted amusedly at her daughter's display. She looked over the foal and saw he was thin and looked weak. "Where is your mother and your herd?" Dilali asked gently.
-----------
Prisma stared in wonder but kept firmly behind Crayola. He didn't want anything to do with the stranger. Prisma stood, hoping that his father would drive the nusience away.
