This was enough to quiet Rewind, who was satisfied to meet the herd mares herself and as comfortably as she could, fit herself into their ranks. While she did not wish to step on their toes, she would do her best to assert her strong characteristics and volunteer herself for a semi-dominant position. As her new herd stallion picked up a canter she followed in suit, not racing along with him so as to challenge his speed and his ego, but following, just at his haunches. Kicking her heels up toward the night sky, she burst into a fast canter with an energetic cry. "To the East!" She heralded the night, arching her neck to summon her new king into a gallop along with her, and in the moon-milk light of the night they sped off toward the homelands they now shared.
