Aleo tried not to get too full of himself - the mares would come to him as long as he held the title of King. It had nothing to do with his looks or personality, really. And if Epitaph joined his herd, as she had agreed to, then Nevada would probably come looking for her like a bat out of hell once the breeding season started. He'd already seen the anxious look on the grey stallion's face when he had laid eyes upon her. But Aleo wasn't going to be done in that easily, especially by a horse younger than himself.
He turned and nuzzled Epitaph fully now, nipping her around her ears gently. She was, by far, the most beautiful mare of his now. He almost felt the need to take her out into open country and show her off, regardless of the danger! But maybe after the breeding season.
He touched foreheads with Naima, the chestnut mare. She was a little older, but she was still a good-looking horse, and still able to breed. Aleo was very happy with the both of them.
Naima spoke of taking herself and Epitaph back to Tingara, and Aleo felt somewhat apprehensive about this. Dilali was important, but she was not his, and he would not let his two new mares wander down a dangerous hill on their own. He was going to take them back to Yarraman's Valley at least.
"No," he said, voice commanding but gentle, "I will take you back. You are both my responsibility, and I will not let such beautiful mares go unprotected. Come. Follow me."
He touched noses with the both of them and lead the way down the Brindle Bull. He hoped that his mares were still safe in Yarraman's Valley with Tingara.
OOC: Im taking this to Yarraman's Valley guys!
