Currong's heart lifted as she accepted the offer of running with him, and nuzzling her gently he then resumed grooming her. "Say, would you like to walk and find a grazing ground?" asked the bay mare and Currong snorted softly in amusement at her naiivety, there were no suitable grazing grounds for miles around here and finding another wasn't really optional, they would have to travel to eat. But he was pretty sure this was her first winter out in the High Country and therefore unaware that the two of the them had to head lower down the mountain if they were to live. Currong didn't think there was much urgency at present, it was only snowing lightly, but he felt as if they were best off spending the day travelling. He lipped at a strand of her mane affectionately, teasing it between his teeth, then letting go he simply nodded to her, unwilling to say anything that could potentially embarass the young mare. He moved off, stepping proudly and beckoned to her to join him. Then he made his way back through the woods in the direction he had been heading before fate had caused him to run into the lovely mare.

Aminta sensed Currong's amusment at her question. Oh, no. I've said something wrong haven't I? She thought and a thoughtfully confused look swept across her face. She carried on grooming him as well, hoping now that she hadn't in fact said the wrong thing and offended him, and or made herself seem like an idiot. Well, she was good at the whole idiot thing, she could prove her stupidity at certain things on a regular basis; but normally she was cool calm and collected. When he said nothing, and made no action apart from a nod, Aminta knew he must have been thinking her naiive. She grinned at him and asked;; "I've just said something I shouldn't have, haven't I?"[/i] She enquired, lipping at a stray bit of his mane, and pulling it gently. "Don't worry, I won't be embarrassed, I'm new here, and lets face it, I don't know as much as a wild brumby would..."[/i] She trailed off, seeing that he had stepped forward proudly and was beckoning her towards him. She smiled, and followed him. She was really glad that she'd run into Currong, they really seemed to.... connect. She trotted lightly towards him, showing off her mastery of her body, that she'd got from her master in training her in Dresage, something she'd always found useless, but now was seeminly using it. She followed him off in the direction he set, her ears flickering to every sound the decteted. All of a sudden she realised something was different... There had been a time where these unknown noises had frightened her, made her think that it was some uknown creature waiting to get her. But now, walking at Currong's side, these sounds didn't seem quite the same. She smiled at him, and nudged his side gently. "I'm really glad something caused us to run into each other, Currong. So where're we going? And you can laugh at me, I'm new to this!" She laughed, hoping to set him off too.

Currong nuzzled Aminta, reassuring her that it was ok, letting her know that he understood that she was still learning and that he wasn't going to judge her. As he moved off down the slope, Aminta pranced beside of him, doing some sort of fancy and controlled dance. He watched her in amazement, enthralled with the way she seemed to be moving to a secret beat that only she could hear. She then walked over to him and nudged him gently and Currong whickered gently in amusement at her comment, nosing her gently. Then he set off in a purposeful trot down the mountainside. If they were to get to good grazing by tonight they would have to travel most of the day. He looked over his shoulder to make sure that she was following and to provide encouragement. His heart lifted as he watched the beautiful mare who followed him just a pace behind his own stride. He hadn't felt this happy in a long time.

Aminta was quite happy to see that her joy at the prospect of havng a herd was rubbing off on the gorgeous stallion besides her. She smiled bightly, keeping in step with his graceful trot. He nosed her gently, and she returned the favour nuzzling his neck again while she could. They were trotting down the hillsides now, and Aminta realised that they were headed some where with a purpose, to get to the lower areas of the valley. She knew that she didn't mind how long they were travelling, as long as she didn't spend another winter alone, that was fine. The silence she found them in was one of a comfortable, companiable one, and it gave her a chance to think about what had just happened. She'd got a stallion to run with, and much more than that, a friend!
