OOC: And thank goodness for that. That's exactly why I introduced Waiirri to him now instead of when he might have been able to kill him o.O
BIC:
They were almost there, almost past the opening, they were so close. Waiirri was just beginning to think that they may make it without detection when he heard the sound of laboured breathing and angry snorts which heralded the black's arrival. The other stallion began screaming, catching Waiirri off guard with the barrage of noise and the smell of dry blood. Waiirri propped and shied to the side to avoid the black's lunging motion, then immediately stepped protectively in front of Doowi. The stallion's eyes followed his movement and lighted on the silver filly, and Waiirri was just thinking that he would have to fight to keep her when he saw the rage that filled the black's eyes. Snorting in terror, Waiirri listened to the black's angry outburst- Her blood? What stallion in their right mind would kill a mare? But obviously this stallion wasn't in his right mind, at least not at the moment. Waiirri couldn't think why he would be so angry as to threaten to take Doowi's life but he knew he must fight to defend her. He had never thought he'd be fighting for her life and the thought terrified him, if he lost she would die. He had always comforted himself with the notion that if he happened to lose, Doowi would at least have a herd and he could come back to reclaim her. With this fight, there would be no second chances. Rearing up on his hind legs he struck out at the black in warning, hoping to ward him away from Doowi. His actions were to no avail. the black scarcely seemed to notice him. Squealing in rage and, though he'd never admit it, fear, Waiirri went to meet the lunging black only to have the black come up short, as though he'd meant to do something else. Having no time to puzzle this over, Waiirri just managed to jump sideways so that the full weight of the black missed him and only his head swung into Waiirri's hindquarters. Still, even that was enough to leave a mark-the stallion was massive and had hit him right in the flank with what seemed like his full weight behind the blow. Waiirri kicked out with his hindfeet, just barely missing the black's head. He swung to meet the black, making sure he still stood in front of Doowi. "Run!" he called in a panic to her. This was no time for honour, he didn't want the beautiful filly to mauled by this brute of a stallion. Waiirii made another lunge for the black's crest, hoping to make contact with the black's skin and somehow land a few blows. Waiirrii was no fool, he did not want to fight this crazed stallion when he was already exhausted from travelling. He did not realize just how tired the black was himself. Waiirrii planned to get in enough blows that the black would leave him alone, and then he could go find Doowi. He hated to plan to run, but he wasn't stupid enough to let his pride kill him. Besides, there was no reason for this fight, nothing would be gained by burning himself out and leaving Doowi all alone in the high country as winter was falling, especially as she was pregnant. With this last thought, Waiirrii felt energy rush through him and he managed to rain a few blows on the stallions back. He had a family to protect now.

The silver filly cried out in fear at the stallion's furious cry, and sort of fell backwards, her hindquarters just off the ground and her hooves splayed to make her look as small as possible. Her ears were pinned back, to protect them from harm, and her eyes rolled wildly, first watching the other male, then the female next to him, and lastly her stallion. She was shocked when the black attacked, and leaped backwards, the picture of elegance. Amazingly, the urgency of the situation made her forget how perfect she was, and Doowi danced on the spot for a moment, wondering what to do and whether she should help Warri. His cry to her, ordering quick escape, decided her mind. The silver filly immediately spun on her hind legs, and bounded away, her creamy coat disappearing into the trees with the dappled moonlight. As her pale hooves blurred in her effort to escape, her backwards-facing ears heard every sound of the battle that was commencing, and made her run faster. She was very worried about her stallion, the brave boy, and decided that he was a god after all. And the black horse was evil. Yeah, that made sense. She felt very proud to have figured that out. The moon was very bright, and her coat melded with it as if she was a mirage, rippling from one alighted spot to another, her image wavering as the spirit she was named for. Eventually, her energy ran down. and her hoofbeats slowed. She flicked her ears, unsure of what to do, and came to a stop next to a tiny stream that was only large enough for one swallow at a time. After a quick drink, she decided to hide, and stood in a moonlit patch, where she was very hard to see, and waited.
OOC- ^^ best ever post I've done in kossie! That is so silver brumby!

Ooc: Ohh, you'd bettah or she'll dump you! xD
Kinta nodded and happily fallowed Garrong. So this stallion made him uneasy too? Ehh, she didn't like being spied on either, so she walked on without a comment. Judging by his actions, he must be in pain. But he must of won that previous fight! Otherwise the two....eye candies wouldn't be here. Kinta would admit, the two mares didn't look bad, but if they thought they were gonna have an easy time with Garrong, they were wrong!
Then her black hero went crazy. She didn;t understand why until she looked where he was facing. A silver filly? Whatever did that mean to him? Oh well, maybe the filly was hoping to take Kinta's spot in the herd. But no! Garrong was again, fighting for her! Hehehe.... she wondered what it would be like when she had his foal. Twenty-four hours of high security, no intruders into her personal space.
It'd be like a little holiday. Garrong, their foal and herself. One big happy family. Ooooh, it was all coming together now. Kinta pretty much ignored the screaming and kicking and squabbiling, she was too busy thinking about the future, and her new personal guard.

Dilali rushed forward in an attempt to see what all the renewed screaming was about. As she trotted silently through the undergrowth in the direction Garrong had gone, the sounds of a screaming mare reached her ears. She picked up her pace, breathing hard. What the hell was going on tonight? Had the entire High Country gone mad? It didn't take her long to reach the clearing where all the commotion was coming from. What Dilali saw terrified her. She saw two new horses in the dawn light, one a dark stallion and the other a silver filly. At first she thought Garrong was attacking the other stallion for the silver but no, Garrong was attacking the silver. She watched, blue eyes wide, her mind ticking over rapidly. Hang on a sec, Garrong attacking two silvers, it couldn't be a coincidence.

The blue could put up a resistance, he had to give him that, but compared to Nevada he left much to be desired. Though, for that Garrong should probably be thankful. He didn’t know Wairrii was also exhausted or he may have given him a little more credit. There was no dodging any of the blows in such close quarters and in his condition, and although he didn’t feel them for the moment thanks to the adrenaline, but he could dimly tell it wasn’t going to do him any favours that night.
He was just about to lunge again when his hind legs, having enough, almost collapsed under him once more. With gritted teeth he arched his crest, blowing air into his lungs to expand his body and look larger and more terrifying. ”If you get out now,” he said between breaths and acting as though Wairii’s attack hadn’t done anything, ”I’ll overlook it but ONLY if you swear never to come back,” he ordered, almost growling.

The black stallion suddenly fell away from him, and Waiirrii, taking the oppertunity to catch his breath, backed away to stand regarding the stallion. "If you get out now, I'll overlook it, but only if you swear never to come back" growled the black stallion. Waiirrii was about to refuse on behalf of his pride, but smart enough to realize that he was being given a reprieve, he merely snorted angrily and answered "I didn't come here looking for a fight," he said calmly, his collected words surprising him, "But I too will overlook the insult and leave now. There was no reason for this conflict to have started." Blowing out through his nostrils, he backed away, and turned to go. He would have liked to finish with a parting blow, after all, the black had threatened Doowi's life but since the black had backed off he knew that wasn't going to happen, he knew that to strike the stallion now would be most dishonourable. But before he left he couldn't help adding "However, if you ever threaten my mare, any of my mares, again I will fight until I am through, until I cannot possibly fight any longer." He knew this probably wasn't much of a threat to the massive stallion, but he wanted to let him know he hadn't taken the offense lightly. For now though, there was nothing to be done about it, and turning stiffly, Waiirrii trotted away from the clearing, his head held high, in search of Doowi.

Kinta watched as the other stallion began to fight Garrong. Of course, Garrong wasbeating him back as usual. He wouldn't dare fail, would he? Naaah.....he had her, so what need was there to be beaten by this....intruding kid. When the fight was clearing, and the two were growling at each other, Kinta snorted. This little boy had a big tongue on him! But he finally surrendered after Garrong's words and left with more to come:
"However, if you ever threaten my mare, any of my mares, again I will fight until I am through, until I cannot possibly fight any longer."
"And was that silver filly your only companion? How dare you come forward like this with her around!" she screamed in his direction. Even though she had NO idea what it was about silver fillies, or just this silver filly around Garrong, she didn't see why she couldn't retaliate.
Snorting, she turned around and looked back, just to make sure that the other guy had gone. Suddenly, a shock of pain moved through her. Kinta knew what it meant, and felt the need to be alone like all mares do. She stood beside Garrong and gave him a quick nuzzle, silently telling him what she was doing, then left. For once, Kinta was fairly quiet. The bush was almost silent too, and she didn;t feel the need for lots of noise right now. She felt very vunerable, even though she still felt a little energized.

The creamy filly had waited anxiously for what felt like quite a long time, but in reality, it was only about ten minutes. She stood at ease, on three legs and her front right leg resting on its tip. Delicate ears flicked back and forth, ignoring most other sounds, and hoping she would hear a trotting thump, or maybe a friendly snort. Everything was quite; even the bats weren't screeching their irritating sounds like they usually did at night. Finally, she flicked her mane into the air and stalked forward, stealthily hiding her flank in the stray moonbeams that glowed on the dusty ground. She decided it would be better to make no sound instead of no tracks, and was almost completely soundless as she re approached the area the two males had been fighting in. Her ears pricked forwards at the exchanged words, and she tossed her head with a whinny before rejoining her stallion, who was now undoubtedly master of all horses. In her mind, of course.

Dilali watched on and sharp pains began to shoot up her already hurting spine. The foal she carried was a lot heavier than the last one, that's for sure. Again the pain shot through her, almost making her cry out. This foal was going to be extra hard to birth she could already tell. Dilali hobbled through the trees towards Garrong. She gave him a small nicker before melting back into the trees to find the right spot to foal.
.:OOC: Exit Dilali for a bit! XD :.

Garrong didn’t really take Waiirii’s parting threat seriously. He was going to watch those two later. That mare had been laden with foal and no more creamies were going to get into the world if he could help it. If it was born a pale colt, he would take out the roan and the spawn his whore of a mare had created. That simple. One less pest. With a snort, he let Waiirii disappear out of his sights, letting the roan think he got the last word.
Garrong was just about to turn around when Kinta, then, inexplicably, Dilali, nosed him then turned and left in different directions. This sudden motion, borne of an instinct he could never understand, stumped him. There was urgency in their actions he didn’t think was wise to try and cross, but the fact Dilali was leaving was troubling. Kinta would return to him, but Dilali seemed likely to go back to Nevada at her first chance. But then again, she had left Baramay for the first time.
Garrong ambled back slowly to where Baramay was standing, eyeing her. Breeding season wasn’t over yet, she had no way to fight back or defend herself now that Dilali wasn’t standing as her constant body guard. The Friesian huffed and shook himself. No, probably not a good idea. It wouldn’t improve his standings in the eyes of either of them to take her, and would probably undo what he was trying to achieve by making himself seem more a monster than he already was. But still...
