Progess? *shrugs*
I wasn't saying she add all of them, or even any at all, I was just throwing something out there. D=

It's just a suggestion, and no one is denying that the moderating team hasn't done a great job with the site. It would just be interesting to expand on the pre-existing areas and give some more options to members.
And also, I'm not sure on that point. I'm going to have to read the book to see if it says so. I thought that their capturing of fillies was symbolic of something bad occurring.

New locations will definitely be added =) I'm not sure as we'll go as far as the Moonfillies and Nightrunners (I only have the first six books, so I'm not familiar with the Nightrunners) but I think once we have a few more members and a couple more herds, we'll expand to cover some of the Brolga's areas and other locations mentioned in the first one or two books. I think spreading too far afield will make some odd time lapses, eg covering a week's travel in a matter of hours.
So yeah, if we pick a few favourite locations from the first book that aren't here already, then when we have some more members we'll add them in so stallions aren't running into each other so often =)

I actually like that we cover a smaller area and that our stallions are running in to each other a lot.. I mean what's the point of role play if there's no interaction. XD
It should be less worried about covering every location in the book and just making sure each location is different and serves a different purpose. There's large grazing areas, a large lake, a swamp, rocky areas, a snowy area, men friendly areas. etc etc. I hope I'm getting my point across..
I've read the books years and years ago and while I remember some basic points, it's still been years and the appeal of this place is the fact that i'm not expected to know and that when things come up I don't have to search for a long explanation at what this person is playing or referring to. (the genetics aren't helping since I'm not interested enough in the mechanics of 'if these two horses get it on, these combinations of letters will mean that the foal looks like this')
We don't want to scare off new players by making so many references to the book that they decide they can't play unless they read em.

I believe you are right in your suggestion Illu. Why not have the brumby country to the south? If you do not wish to play that area of the high-country, then by all means, stick to the original places. But there is no reason why people who have spent their time reading the series, and enjoying it, can't indulge in the extra, lush areas, provided by Elyne Mitchell's wonderful stories. This is a realistic horse roleplay, they can't go a certain amount of miles south then meet a brick wall, can they? Use your initiative and allow people the free rein, bad pun, to roleplay where, and as they wish. This may also allow a more realistic feel to the game, instead of having a lot of horses cooped up in one area of the bush.
