Nandalie was convinced the mare was genuine, and he greeted her with a firm nuzzle. Camira provided him the name he had forgotten, and he nodded once. Corowa, then. She seemed to instantly be confident with Camira, and for that he was glad. The young filly needed the attention of an older mare; her mother was hardly a substitute.
He glanced around, forever wary. He caught the sight of the strangely-coloured mare leaving and nickered a farewell. It was unfortunate she could not stay, but she would bring attention of bounty-hunting stallion, the likes of which Nandalie had no wish to deal with. It seemed as if Corowa was happy to stay, and Nandalie passed her, giving her as experimental nuzzle. She was a fine mare, and he would be happy to have her in his herd.
The roan passed his newest mare and returned to Camira. She was perhaps the only exception to his herd. While her coat was more golden than that of a Silver, he still worried that another stallion might find her exotic enough to take. Nandalie however would not let that happen, and he groomed the small filly with calming strokes. Corowa’s sudden movement distracted him, and he glanced over. She seemed to be assessing the world for danger but he knew there was none. Nevertheless, he lifted his head and double-checked before nickering to the grey to reassure her. She was safe with him, as were all his mares. OOC: Whee, okay. Lets move this to the newer thread in Yarraman’s Valley =)
