Name: River
Species: Brumby
Gender: Mare
Age: 7
Appearance: Blue Roan Pinto
Personality: A calm and caring mare who takes time to stop and smell the roses. She can be very lazy but gets in moods where she just wants to have fun. She is a bit of a loner but makes a lot of friends, though because she is a drifter she rarely sees them again. She is not a violent horse by nature and rarely gets in fights with other mares, which means when she does join a herd she won't usually fight for lead mare. It can take alot to scare her and she is very curious, but having never met humans before, or aleast close up, she doesn't have any exact idea as to what they are like, only tales from what others have told her.
History: She was born wild in the Australian Bush, in the mountain region of the blue mountains. Her mother was a spirited blue roan mare who was also lead mare. River was more like her sire though, calm and caring. Her father was a blue roan paint as well, though he only had a splash of white across his flanks and white stockings.
When River left her home herd, she wandered by herself, drifting through the mountains joining other herds every so often then leaving when she lost interest. Meeting new horses and going new places always attracted her. All thought that one day she would settle down and stay with a herd. That day came when she fell pregnant to a chestnut stallion when she was 5 years of age. Though sadly, the foal was stillborn. Since then, River has had a fascination with foals. She can sometimes get very jealous of mares that have foals or are in foal and she will readily babysit for some mares, though she would reluctantly let the foal go back home. After her colt was born, she left the chestnut and returned to her drifting ways, plodding from herd to herd. Currently still a loner.
Genes: Sire is a blue roan paint too, mother unknown. If you want to work it out, gene wise, then let me know.
Extra Comments: She is a character I use regularly, though after reading your rules on colours I will understand if her's is to rare.
