O o C ; I never got around to introducing my character Jigsaw that I made a while back now, so I'm gonna do it now ;D Not the best post, sorry x3 If you've got a stallion/colt looking for a piebald mare, do join. Lol! <3
A light breeze ripple across the snow grass on Dead Horse Ridge. The skies were blue with a little bit of cloud, meaning that there might be a bit of spring time rain headed the High Country's way. Birds flittered about the skies, looking for food, or scanning out a place that would be safe to rest for the night. It was slowly approaching the time of day when the sun went down and the stars came up. Men were back in the country, with there horses and cattle this time. Not that this was any different from any other year, but you would have thought that after the massive Brumb drive last winter, they'd have been satisfied with their haul.
A lone mare was standing on the ridge, keeping a keen eye upon the men's huts below. Her jigsaw patterned coat had earned her her name, and right now, she was sticking out like a sore thumb against the green and brown landscape. She knew that this patch of land was paticularly open - meaning that the men could see her if they looked hard enough - but she wasn't that bothered about it. She knew that if they did come after her, she'd be able to run. Jigsaw was beginning to think that a life in captivity with Man might not be such a bad one. She was getting fed up of being alone without a herd. The mare's blue eyes flickered from one end of the valley to the other and back again. She took in a lungful of the fresh mountain air, and started to descend from the ridge, a rather sad look in her eye, and no spring in her step.

Bingarra was brooding, lost in his own depressing thoughts. He had returned for Lirralirra after having lost her in the brumby drive, knowing the men had caught her, but he had been too late, unable to prevent the men from taking his beautiful blue roan filly away to who knew where. Even after three seasons Bingarra still hadn't forgiven himself for this. There was little he could do about it now, but he comforted himself with the notion that at least Lirralirra had looked well cared for in the mens' hands. Still, he had taken to haunting the area around the men's huts, waiting in vain for the day that Lirralirra might return and he could steal her away. Sighing sadly, a sudden movement on the slope ahead of him caught his eye and Bingarra stopped in astonishment. A painted filly stood bodly on the hill, in plain sight of anyone who happened to be about. Didn't she know about the men? DId she not realise the danger she was in? thought Bingarra frantically. As she descended he moved closer, calling urgently yet quietly to her. "Quick!" he called "You must move into the cover of the trees as quick as you can!"
OOC: sorry this is so lame but I have to go! I'll be on later, maybe I'll get a chance to improve it.

Kaie trotted through the trees on Dead Horse Ridge, his eyes flickering for signs of movement. He spotted another stallion a little way ahead, and beyond that, a mare. Out it plain veiw of any man who might sight her. He quickened his pace; he could hear the stallion calling," Quick! You must move into the cover of the trees as quick as you can!" He stopped when he was beside the stallion, but did not call out. He did not want to cause confusion. Once the mare was safe, he would challenge this other stallion for theposession of her.

Jigsaw had been lost in thought, neither caring, nor worried about man being in the area. She also seemed to have forgotten an old High Country law - keep your wits about you at all times. This was why she started at the voice that suddenly drifted though the air. Looking around, shocked, and a little confused, the filly spotted a handsome silver grullo stallion, and another dun one stood near to him. Jigsaw frowned, presuming the stallions were travelling together - which she didn't think was normal. Her painted coat seemed to gleam for a moment as the sunlight hit her, and the filly blinked uncertainly. She looked over at the stallion who had called her, and had only just realized his warning. Following his instructions, she headed nearer to them, and nearer to the cover of the trees. Jigsaw wanted to say something like 'I couldn't see any man there though.' But she held her tongue. That would have just been plain rude. Looking from stallion to stallion, she slowly extendedher nose to both of them, hoping that the gesture wasn't too soon, and regretting it almost immediately. "I'm sorry, I was in a world of my own there. I'm Jigsaw, so named because of my coat."

Bingarra rather resented the appearance of the other stallion, even more so when he came to stand beside him. But other than a slight backwards flicker of his ears he showed no sign of his resentment, his priority was to make sure the pinto mare got safely out of sight of the men. Watching her anxiously, he breathed a sigh of relief as she finally entered the cover of the trees. Now feeling quite awkward, he started as the filly extended her nose but was quick to recover and touch his own soft muzzle to hers. "I'm sorry, I was in a world of my own there. I'm Jigsaw, so named because of my coat." she said and Bingarra hastened to introduce himself "Greeting's Jigsaw, I am Bingarra, named for the silver bark of the willow tree." He glanced uncertainly at the other stallion, wondering what to make of this strange situation.

"I'm sorry, I was in a world of my own there. I'm Jigsaw, so named because of my coat." "Greeting's Jigsaw, I am Bingarra, named for the silver bark of the willow tree." The young bay stallion listened to the two introducing themselves. Touching his muzzle to Jigsaw's, Kaie neighed, "Greetings, Jigsaw, and you, Binggarra. I am Kaie, born and bred for fighting." He bucked his head proudly. I wonder what will happen now, he thought. Will Bingarra and I end up fighting for Jigsaw? He glanced from one to the other, and his eyes settled warily on the other stallion.
