Spots of shadow flitted across her bodice as she walked softly on the mss covered ground of the bog. Moths the color of pearls, hovered all around the area. Spots of dark brown lined there wings and they were truly beautiful. 'Disgusting bugs. They probably bite.' A frown creased the mare's lips as if it was molded there from the beginning of time. Seath's eyes traced her surroundings. The trees were mostly mountain ash but snow gums also dotted the landscape. The water was low and murky. Some turtles spotted the area near the bog and low brush covered the area. Birds twitted in the branches. 'What a solemn day.'
Slowly Seath made her way forward to the water. Lowering her neck her nostrils stopped about an inch above the water. She breathed heavily, trying to trace any poisons that may have been dropped there from any plant matter around the bog. When detecting none she lapped at the water to test her assumtion. The water was safe but dity. 'I'm probably drinking turtle waster.'
ooc: Sorry, I need to get more muse for this girl.

Taree brushed the low hanging trees and pushed his way out into the open where he halted and waited for Balendin to stand by his grullo side. Tossing his head proudly, he reached over to nuzzle her shoulder before prancing off over the soggy ground of the Big Boggy. "Careful now Balendin." He murmured as the mud began to increase and his hooves began to sink deeper into the pools. He paused to watch the now round mare cross the boggy behind him. He turned his head and caught the the wind just as it began to push past him, trailing along with it a new scent. Immediately Taree tensed. He moved closer to his mare, who was now carrying his first foal. He scanned the area thoroughly, before his brown eyes fell on a feminine figure standing by the water, downing her thirst.
Taree didn't relax just yet, he looked over the area to make sure the mare didn't belong to some stallion that would gladly steal his silver filly off of him. Only when he could not see any sign of movement, did he relax just a little. He nickered for Balendin to stay where she was until he made sure there was no other horse about. Moving swiftly, Taree closed the gap between him and the new mare. He stopped a few feet from her, his head lowering a little in respect. It must have been a shock to have a stallion appear infront of her. "Greetings O grullo mare." He noticed the white patches surrounding her body and decided that she was quite pretty and very unique. Not that he'd want to just 'add' her to his collection of mares. He didn't think of them like that. He cared deeply for his silver mare, Balendin, that was why he had told her to stay back. He wasn't about to just go and add all the rare coloured horses to his herd, but he was a stallion and building a bigger herd was always a priority for them. "My name is Taree, for the tomahawk. And that loverly filly over there is Balendin." He introduced them quickerly, while sweeping the area once more for any signs of movement that could mean danger for him and his mare. "May I ask what your name is?"
OOC|| ;D Hope she finds him ok and Ballie should be coming in with Balendin soon.

Balendin nodded and watched as Taree trotted over to the grullo mare. She listened as Taree introduced both of them to the newcomer. Observing her from where she stood, she saw that this mare was quite pretty. She didn't feel jealous of this mare, in fact, she though although she had been happy with just Taree for company, it would be nice to have another mare to talk to.

Her ears perked when the sound of hooves entered the bog. 'One, two, three, four beats. Slower than a gallop. Two horses walking in my general direction.' Seath took one last sip of water before she lifted her head. Looking through the growth that surrounded her she seen one grullo and one silver looking horse. She could not yet tell if they were female or male.
The grullo came closer to her now and she lowered her head to drink once more. 'They must now know that I sensed them come.' Taking a deep breathe Seath was able to tell the grullo was a male. He came up behind her, probably faster than he should have for meeting a new horse. Although this male was smart enough to stop just out of kicking range from her.
"Greetings, O grullo mare. I am Taree, for the tomahawk. And that lovely fily over there is Belendin. May I ask what your name is?"
Lifting her head in her act she seen him scan her body. It was kind of discomforting to her. 'Well, at least he's polite when he talks.'
"Hello Taree. People call me Seath; meaning wolfish. It's nice to meet you Belendin."
Her eyes had a odd unwavering stare that she held on Taree. 'What will he want of me?' Her mind was racing with all of the possiblilities that could happen. To really tell she needs to know what will happen she needs to hear what he says next.

He glanced over his shoulder at his mare, then back at the other grullo splattered horse. "Hello Taree. People call me Seath; meaning wolfish. It's nice to meet you Balendin." Taree nodded, and smiled politely. He was still a bit paranoid about another horse coming in to trash the 'party' and take his mare away. Shaking his mane about he tried to calm himself before he ended up going crazy with worry. "Tell me, you are alone aren't you? There is no other horse here?" He asked, again glancing over the plain. He would soon enough know whether anyone decided to intrude. And if she belonged to no stallion, then perhaps Taree would suggest that she ran with him. He knew Balendin would like another mare to talk too. And Taree was wanting some new company as well.

Balendin listened to their conversation, dipping her head in acnowledgement when Seath spoke to her. At Taree's question, she looked around, scanning the boggy marsh around them, but there was no sign of any other hose than herself, Taree, and Seath.

ooc: sorry I was on vacation and couldn't get on. I shouldn't be absent for awhile now though so that's good. ; )
Seath took a deep breathe of the boggy air and scanned the grounds with her eyes. The only scents she caught were those of the horse's around her and other animals native to the place and she did not see anything out of place. Her ears flicked back and fourth, listening for the sounds of far off hoof beats or other things unnatural to the area. When she heard nothing her eyes came back to the horses in front of her.
"I am alone. I brought no one with me and as far as I can assume from my calculations there is not a soul within a few miles accept for the three of us and the natural animals in the area."
Her eyes were startlingly penetrating. That tended to happen to her when she was reporting. Seath was a machine. Her job was to gather facts and put them togethor in a way that would keep others safe, provide the best plan for war fare, or move her leader up the social ladder. The mind that opporated within her skull was well oiled and conditioned.

Taree relaxed a little when the mare confirmed that they were alone. His tensed muscles only seemed to relax a little, though. He tossed his head so that his forelock fell over his own brown eyes. That was when he noticed how strong the mares eyes looked at that moment. He rose his head up a little to take a better look, his heart leaped at that moment. She was stunning and strong it seemed to him. Just like Balendin, only in a different body... "Ahh...well if you wanted Seath, since your alone and all, you could come with us. I'm actually trying to find better grazing ground at the moment. If you wanted to help?" His mind was racing and he couldn't help but imagine the three of them galloping over thick grassy grounds....Shaking his head, he tried to rid himself of the image before it made him too hopefull. This mare might still say no.

OOC: I hope you don't mind me tossing Yarran into this thread? He needs some action...
BIC:
The grulla mare wasn't entirely correct in saying that there was no other horse in the area. A greying red dun colt trotted agitatedly through the brush, though down wind and far into the thick of the plantation so that the mare couldn't have hoped to have picked his scent or sound. Besides, Yarran didn't make that much noise anyway, his father had taught him well, and he moved with a grace and fluidity that recalled his mother's own gait.
The mulberry grey colt was far from happy, his coat slightly dampened with sweat from the mugginess of the boggy and his skin creeping uncomfortably at the touch of the many insects that called this place their home. The soggy ground tugged at his hooves, unnerving the young horse who had not yet experienced the many unusual qualities of the Big Boggy, and coating his delicate legs in thick, oozing slime. His ears were held well back and his head was lifted uncomfortably high to try and catch the scent of his surroundings above the stench of the bog.
Yarran was coming to regret leaving the company of Baree and Biangri. He had become quite attached to the other colts, and it was definately more relaxing to travel in a group. But he had been so embarassed by the encounter with Prisma that he had been unable to stay within the mellow confines of the bachelor herd. Yarran had set off yesterday morning and travelled without destination, seeking to form a herd of his own. But for now he was alone, humiliated and way out of his element.
Finally slowing to a highstepping walk, nearly prancing to avoid stepping on the ground for too long, the colt made his miserable way through the boggy. The sound of voices suddenly met his ears and he stopped in shock, listening intently. Who else was in this God forsaken place? Yarran scented the air carefully, he thought he might just be able to discern the scents of two mares and a stallion underneath the murky smell of the boggy that clung to his nostrils. Excitement flared in him, and feeling bold after his recent embarassment, Yarran moved off towards the others.
He came upon them by a murky pool, a stallion and two mares as he had thought. Still feeling rash, he arched his neck and whinnied to the grullo pinto. It didn't look like she was officially part of the stallion's herd. Not yet anyways. The silver mare standing by the stallion was pretty too, though Yarran knew she would be much harder to win over judging by her swollen pregnant sides. The colt stood waiting for the mare's reaction, watching the stallion carefully out of the corner of his eye.

Finally the grullo stud asked the qustion that she had been expecting. What would happen if Seath joined Taree's herd? She could find herself in a position of power later on in her life, if Taree ever challenged the king. Seath could bear her first foal. She could fnd love, though unlikely. None of the possibilities seemed too terrible.
"I see-"
A whinny interrupted her. How had she not herd this horse come up. Moving her larger body in front of Taree and Balendin she looked to the source of the sound. Her body language was that of a ticked off horse though she was only annoyed with herself.
When she finally found a glimpse of the horse that had made the sound she seen a colt. He was younger than Taree and defniately younger than her. The colt was a handsome color and his conformation was promising. What were the possibilities now? Well, Taree could fight for her, or leave wih Balendin. And if Taree fought well then he would most likely win but he might loose his other mare. Or the too stallions could peacefully figure out who would take me. Seath's eyes sparkled with a passion for the intensity of the situation and the fact that she could not guess to what would happen. For once she was blind of the probibility.
"Well, well now. What have we here. I'm sorry Taree, he must have come up downwind."
A smile appeared on her lips and a chuckle escaped her.
