Nevada was beginning to suspect these mares were going to be more trouble than they were worth. He watched the sun play on their coats, warming their darkness to a rich brown, their flaxen manes golden. He stopped himself from staring. They might make trouble, but at least Aleo wasn't after them, and they were worth quite a lot. Nevada nickered to Dilali, making up his mind.
"A pleasure to see you again too, Dilali, though I'm afraid I must be going. No doubt your Aleo will catch up soon, and I'd rather not be in sight when he does." He smiled wistfully and touched her nose with his. One day he'd have her, but she was unreachable. He was too young, and she was too stubborn. He sighed and looked back to the dark mares. "I'll take you both to lower ground. The grazing is better there."
He glanced back to Dilali. He wished he could invite her, but she'd lead the King right to him. He called Mica to his side, and lead the way. "Keep close, you could easily lose me on these trails." He called back to the fillies as he made his way down from the Ramshead.

Ria glared at Nevada as he handed out instructions to them. How dare he tell her what to do! She snorted and tossed her fringe out of her eyes, but strangely, she felt the need to do as he said and follow him to lower ground. "C'mon Brael." She nosed Brael and trotted quickly after Nevada, glancing but at the grey filly left on the plain.
Aleo had stopped on one of the many trails of the Ramshead, sniffing the air ominously. He was alone this time, making sure that none of his mares had followed him. As the wind ruffled his mane, he raised a forehoof and took a step forward. He had caught the scent of the troublesome young stallion Nevada on the wind; it seemed nearby, but faint at the same time. Finally, he continued pushing on up the range - Nevada wouldn't be a problem for Aleo if he challenged him, for he had slept and fed well with his mares in Yarraman's Valley recently. Still, the grey stallion wasn't the reason Aleo had made his way, yet again, to the place he disliked - Ramshead Range. Since that night on Brindle Bull, Aleo had known exactly where Dilali would be, granted she didn't mind waiting a few nights for him.
He reached the clearing and saw her watching something in the opposite direction. But he was sure it was her; he'd memorised every detail of her from the dreams he had every night. He walked slowly towards her; the grass silencing his steps. Then, he stopped about two lengths away from her and held his head up higher, nickering loud enough for her to hear him.

Dilali heard the nicker and knew exactly who it was. She wheeled sharply around, half expecting to have dreamed the sound, but no there he was, Aleo. She called out to him and began to dance once more, the thoughts of Nevada and the two strangely coloured fillies pushed from her mind. She cantered up to him and touched his nose with hers. She nipped him playfully and pranced around him. She stopped as she spotted some small bruises and cuts, "What happened to you?" she asked curiously. She knew if he'd gotten into a fight she'd hate to see the other stallion.

Aleo was relieved that Dilali didn't flee the minute she saw him; he rubbed his cheek affectionately against her neck. A fight? Well, not really. More a show of dominance over an over-confident colt. So he played it down. "Well, a fight of sorts, but I personally wouldn't say it was a fight." He replied, "a cocky young colt tried to steal my mares. He wouldn't back off, so Tingara and I had to teach him a lesson." The dun colt had exclaimed about how they were ganging up on him, but Aleo didn't really care. "What about you? It is almost winter, and snow will cover the ground soon." He explained, "my mind would be put at ease if you found a safe, warm place to graze, but even moreso if you came with me and joined my herd." He'd thrown that notion out there before, but he hoped he'd have better luck this time.
OOC: Nevada and co. are gone right? XD

OOC: Pretty much. If Brael follows like Ria, she'd have been gone at the same time.

"Yes!" Dilali burst out, "I mean I'd love to join your herd." Dilali stood there quivering with excitement mixed with fear. She nuzzled at Aleo's mane. Dilali felt as if she was about to burst with happiness. That was it, Dilali couldn't keep it in, she nipped Aleo, her stallion, and galloped away playfully. She reared and whinnied to Aleo to join her.

Aleo hadn't really done anything spontaneous and carefree since he was young, but he felt the need to now. His long chase was over and he finally had the mare he had longed for. He reared, letting a call echo out through the range, then chased after Dilali. He wanted to take her out and show her off to every stallion proudly, but he knew the best thing to do would be to head to Yarraman's Valley where they would be safe over the coming colder months. He longed for the sweetgrass, and to graze with Dilali at his side, finally. He had no mind for his other mares as he lead her playfully down the range towards his home valley.
OOC: To le Valley! XD

Dilali was finally going to graze and stand side by side with Aleo. She began to follow him as he made to leave, she knew exactly where they were going and she couldn't wait to get there, to Yarraman's Valley. At first she followed quietly behind Aleo but soon nipped him on the rump and cantered playfully ahead. Her heart felt so light, she knew she was ready to face whatever was ahead of her because she had Aleo to protect her.

Hidden, Kessa sighed mournfully. She had been about to step out and join her friend when she accepted Aleo's offer. Forgetting the young colt she was supposed to be leading, she galloped across the open grass and started down a different path with frightening speed. She wasn't sure where she was going now. Maybe she'd seek out Rezar, or maybe go down to the men's hut and talk to the tame stallion. Either way, maybe she wasn't cut out to be a friend. Maybe she should stop trying to find her prince and take whatever came along first. Racing down from th Ramshead, she decided she'd go to the men's hut. The tame stallion might be the one she was looking for.
