Koiji saw the light brown mare through the storm after her eyes had ajusted. "That's fine," she laughed "I was ready to get up again anyway." Koiji looked about her. The mountains were barely visable through the snow, and the sky was litteraly non-existant. "Cut out's sound brilliant to me!" she called out into the white. Althea introduced herself to Koiji. "Hey, Althea, my name's Koiji." She smiled at the mare with the chocolate mane. "I'm not too sure of the whole of the Ramshead, but I think I saw something when I was walking down here earlier." She told her, hoping that the information may be useful. She nodded towards the direction of the mountain.

Ooc: LOL a chocolate mane, yum! *eats* Bic:
Althea nodded and leaped down from the rocks to further below on the mountain-side. She tried to look through the blurry snow fall, but it didn't help. "I can't spot the cut out," she called back to Koiji. "But maybe that's it!" she yelled again, running over to a blackened-spot through the snow. She was right, it was a small area under a large boulder, just big enough to shelter the two mares. "Its safe here!"

OOC;; lol, I wonder if there's anything on Koiji that's edible... hmmmm... milk-shake-mane! well it could happen... lol Bic;; The overhang of rocks was perfect for Koiji and Althea to shelter under. "This is better than nothing," she announced after stepping a bit back into the cutout. The snow didn't seem to be showing any sign of giving up yet and the sky still wasn't visable. The air was freezing as the snow drifted towards the rocks. Koiji tried to slink back further into the shadow of the rocks but it was just enough to cover the two mares. "Well, at least we're not in the middle of that now," She grinned as the snow drifted towards them. "So, Althea, how are you today?"

Ooc: Lol she looks like dark-chocolate!
"I'm alright," she answered. "Its just that tonight reminds me of the day I lost Bakoli, my old stallion," She lay down on her knees. Through the fall she could make out the half-moon in the sky, beautifly perched on a cloud. "Anyway, enough of my moping, do you have a stallion?" she asked Koiji, curiously.

OOC;; Horray for the living chocolate! lol Bic;; Koiji listened with intersest as Althea told her of how she had lost her stallion, but she would rather not bring up the subject of her own. It had only been a couple of days since she had last seen Ryu, and she wasn't ready to belive that he was gone. He couldn't be. Not now. But when Althea asked she didn't avoid the question "Oh, well I was travlling with a stallion, who went by the name of Ryu." She started, unsure of how to say the next bit without her feeling really bad. "Well, we got seperated during one of the more heavy snowfalls a couple of suns ago. I haven't seen him since." Sadness filled the mares eyes as she spoke of her lost mate. After the moment had passed, she looked up again to talk to Althea. "So," she asked kneeling down next to the other mare. "Do you have a family who'd be missing you now?"

Ooc: WOOT I actually made it and can post! And just in time for chocolate horse! Bic: "Not terribly," Althea answered, shaking the last of the snowflakes out of her mane. "My father was an arrogant beast, but my mother was gentle and sweet. But I suspect by know they'd be getting ready to let their bones bleach in the blizzard," she said a shudder, remembering her mate. Then she looked at Koiji, into her sad eyes. "I'm sure you'll find Ryu by Spring, in fact, I can almost feel it in the air." She looked over the mountains and into the sky where the sun was rising slowly. It had been a long night of blizzards and storms, and now it was all calming down. The snow stopped whirling around the small cut out and started to slowly fall to a halt. "At last, its over," Althea said, getting up and stretching.

Occ;; Lol, It should be Easter again, Koiji would fit in perfectly then oh well. Heh heh, I like the new avatar you've got ^.^ Bic;; Koiji listened symapthetically to Althea's tale. Her new freind's past was similar to her own in a couple of ways, the main one now being that she'd lost her mate. Koiji's heart went out to Althea, it seemed she was alone at the moment. She pricked her ears excitedly as hope came into the air, the mare was certain that one day, she may be reunited with Ryu. The air was clearing and there were little shafts of sunlight that were filtering over the now white hills. It had been a long night for the two mares, but at least they had the pleasure of each other's company to help them through it. "At last, its over," Althea said, getting up and stretching. Koiji shook her mane slowly getting rid of the stray snowflakes that were resting on it. "Ah, look at that," She sighed casting her loving gaze at the sunrise. "Isn't that beautiful?" She asked, looking back at Althea. She got up also and streched out her legs. "Do you want to go and see if we can find some grass?" She asked, flicking her tail out at the side of the over hang.

Ooc: Lol thanks, I quickly did it in paint using pixels lol Bic: "Sure, but after that blizzard I don't think there will be much," Althea answered. She trotted out of the cave and kicked over some snow to find the dead, watery grass beneath. She turned her nose up at the sight, "Lets find some seedpods instead," she suggested, roaming around the mountain side. Eventualy she found a bush filled with the black pods that brumbies lived on during the Winter(I learnt that from SBW). They were sweet and crunchy, and she wanted to eat them all but she left some for her new friend. "Mmmm...so sweet," she muffled through a mouthful of pods.

Occ;; Lol, paint rocks ^^ --> Pippi <-- That's one of my more better creations on paint, the colourings not the greatest, but eh, I'm still learning on it ^^ Lol, I really need to find out if WHSmiths has any new brumby books in, I only have SB, although I have read TSBD Anyhoo, Bic;; Koiji trotted eargerly after her friend, towards the snowgums. "Lets find some seedpods instead," Said Althea. "Yes, I thik that they'd be a bit better than that soggy stuff." She raised her head and walked with her new friend toards a bush that seemed to be alive with seedpods. "Brilliant!" She grinned, letting Althea have the first pick of the food. When Althea stepped back from the pod pile, Koiji ducked her head quickly and grabbed a few mouthfuls of the sweet pods. "Gosh, they sure are sweet," She commented after she'd finished her share. The sun was growing ever bigger in the sky, basking the ground and the two brumbies in its golden rays. The sky was a clear blue and there was barely a cloud in the sky. Koiji looked to the sky and closed her eyes. 'If only every morning could be as grand as this...' She thought to herself. "Ah, this is the nicest morning that I've witnessed for a while!" she said happily, thinking maybe Althea would agree. The chocolate brumby stood and watched as the light grew bigger and bigger.

Ooc: Awww its so cute! Bic: "Yes, it's wonderful to see a day like this," Althea said. She got up on her hind legs and reared up in a joyous way, then called out to all the brumbies with a loud winny. It was like her joyous days with Bakoli, only better. She knew she should have forgotten him long ago, but he still had her heart. Feeling great, she got down and galloped back up to the top of the Ramshead, where she dodged the rocks while racing with the breeze.
