It's certainly been a while... Dark hooves picked their way through the rocky country of the Ramshead, followed by an set of smaller, brighter ones. The mare that was currently leading her foal across the mountains was relieved to be here, after a long period where she seemingly disappeared from the face of the high country. Koiji swung her head around making sure that Skittles was still behind her, and carried on. She lost her good friend Althea a while ago, just after Skittles' birth. They'd been seperated during a bit of a panic involving some mischievious stallions. Koiji and Skittles hadn't been seen since. She sighed, despite the fact she was home, it still wasn't complete... Ryu was still lost to the world, and Althea was gone. She dreaded the day that her daughter might decide to leave as well. She heard her whining behind her. "Skittles," She called, turning back to look at her beautiful little daughter. "We're almost there love, a little longer and we'll be back where we belong."[/i] She knew that Skittles was probably exauhted, but they had to keep moving, being up on the open mountains, exposed if you will, wasn't a great place to be at the best of times. Koiji had made sure that they weren't wasting any time in finding some place they could finally call home.
It had been a long day for Skittles, all the walking was making her long legs hurt, she knew her mother meant well, but she couldn't wait until they got to where they were supposed to be headed. She shook her little mane out, whinning to her mum. "Mum, I'm cold and tired! Can we stop soon?" She asked, whining seeing as all the travel they'd been doing was taking it's toll on her. Koiji's responce was sort of comforting, but in a minor way. Almost... The word repeated in her head, making her shake her head to see if it would go. She sighed, and then carried on after her Mum.
