Name: Miah (‘Ghost’)
Species: Brumby
Gender: Filly
Age: 3
Appearance: With her glowing, metallicy white coat and reddy-orange eyes, coupled with her fine, etherial movements and haunting beauty, Miah looks more like something from a dream than the waking world. The best word to use is ‘breathtaking’, with long straight legs, a slender frame, sophisticated head and graceful neck, this filly was built both for lightning speed and a ghostly, eerie beauty.
However, underlying her flawless exterior follows her family legacy; dangerously frail health and hyper-photosensitivity borne from countless generations of inbreeding. She is ill almost constantly and cannot even travel out into daylight. Despite her speed and surefootedness, she is easily blinded by bright light and practically helpless during the day.
Personality: Miah is intelligent and a fast learner, and despite having a good heart, she has a few ‘class’ issues as is common with the Nightrunners, but thankfully not to the extent of many others.
History: Moon Fillies are not the only secret hidden in the Moyangul Valley. The Nightrunners have been there longer, heard, never seen, and thought to exist only in myth. A herd of ivory white horses of exceptional beauty, and long considered demons, and omens of death and tragedy. The Nightrunners are only heard galloping the night before a natural disaster or a storm, and death follows them like a shadow. After the Nightrunners have been, fillies lie dead in their wake.
The truth of their existence is known only to them. Despite their beauty and speed, they carry a dark secret. They’re inbred. All of them. It has gone on recklessly for years, and all the Nightrunners are as close as identical twins. Due to this they are sick almost constantly, can barely put on weight, and their skin and eyes are so sensitive to the sun they cannot walk in daylight.
Ever since one of their great stallions, Ringaroo, had the idea of collecting fillies from other herds every stallion since has attempted the same, stealing them in the dead of night before a storm or disaster when no one would see them. The fillies could not see in the dark like them, broke their legs and died, coloured and white ones alike. But they need new blood none the less, so at the next opportunity, they have to try again, and legends about them spread.
Miah was separated from the herd during one of the harsh winter blizzards in attempt to steal a light grey filly. She was almost crushed by a falling tree that was struck by lightning and tripped while trying to dodge, knocking herself out. The herd, not realising she was missing, left without her, and she’s been wandering ever since.
Genes: Seeing as Albino doesn't exist in horses, I'm using the next best thing. It's not albino, but it does cause reddy-orange eyes.

Extra Comments: This is Tiggs fault. She convinced me to make her.
