 Name: Cobalt Species: Brumby with a little arabian and thoroughbred Gender: Male Age: 9 months Appearance: Pure black with a paint white streak through his mane and tail, also has a white blaze. Green eyes. Personality: Cobalt enjoys running and having competitions with his friends. He is a bit of a daredevil and sometimes dares to go near another stallion's herd, even though he'll never get any fillies yet. He has grown enough to finally fit his legs properly, and is fairly swift when it comes to sprinting and has a lot of stamina. History: Cobalt was born at Paddy's Rush Bogong during a blizzard. He almost lost his mother because of her white coat, but luckily she could see him perfectly. Since then, he's grown a lot and is often going away with his group of half brothers and friends. He rarely speaks to his mother, and it's time that she stopped worrying about him, but she won't. Extra Comments: He is the son of Valatone and Tingara. Black inherited from Tingara, and white from Valatone. |

Black with a white mane and tail = moon horse. According to the books, Moon Fillies only happen in females, and you need to have a moon filly as a dam for it to happen to.
Your options are smoky black (a washed out sort of black), palomino or buckskin.

Wait- I knwo you shouldn't trust the internet but I just looked up moon filyl on google image and they all look different.
Besides, Cobalt got his black from his fathe rand white from his mother. I'm also editing it so thatn he has a black streak through his mane and tail. Couldn't he just not be a moon horse?
And I also already drew picture of him I plan to put up on deviantart =X

I think officially a horse inherits just one colour for the mane and body, except for special cases. So yeah, officially he couldnt have that combination. I'd prefer the foals to have natural colours and seeing as its based on the books, a male "moonfilly" would be a bit strange!

Val I don't mind the colour!  What if you reverse the mane and tail colour? Black with a streak of white through it? It's just a suggestion but I hope it pleases all! ^__^ Tingara <3's Valatone and Crayola, the only mares he has left XD |

Hmmm.....lol ok i'll go with Tingara's idea, they can be almost identical!
I was starting to get a little anoyed with the colours anyway.

Me and Illu had a chat, and we;'ve decided the white markings are paint markings. Valatone is a paint white or whatever with blue eyes, i'm editing her so it says.
