I changed the breeding a little, so now you have to post the parents stats and the staff will make the offspring.
Currently, the gestation period is a RL week. Thats a pretty normal time, right?
But I'm wondering, would it make it more "realistic" if the gestation period was longer? So breeding will happen in autumn/early winter as it does in most species and then the offspring will be born in spring/summer. (Possibly varying for species, longer for horses than dingos etc).
This will make time for some fun plotlines, and some more realistic play. Or, just an intolerable time to wait for your new babies.
What do you think? Vote above.

A useful website for the admin (just in case), but it requires some thorough knowledge of the parents genetics, thus why I put mine on my characters profiles. www.animalgenetics.us/CCalculator1.asp

Hey that calculator thing is cool and useful! I was playing around with it and it's really interesting working out what foal you could end up with!

Wow, nice calculator! I'll use that =) Thanks ^_^ Ok, one month seems to be the most popular choise. Breeding seasons would be winter/spring I think. Late autumn too.
