The Fair
Name: Dilali - Fair Headed
Species: Brumby with Thoroughbred lines.
Gender:Mare
Age: 6
Appearance: A really light grey, almost white coat, with brown stockings up to her hocks on all her legs. Her mane and tail is brown and shines bronze in the sun. Dilali was also born with extremely deep blue eyes and a brown muzzle. At times there is also a hint of a dorsal stripe but that dependes on the lighting.
Overall Dilali is a nicely built horse but is slightly over at the knee in both her front legs, cow hocked in her back legs, slightly downhill built, mildly outward facing back hooves and a small sway in her back. Perfect Conformation is almost non-existent in brumbies.
Personality: Kind, is a listener but sometimes she goes off in her own little world because she is a huge daydreamer with an imagination the size of the Snowy Mountains. She fights for what she believes and almot never backs down. Sometimes it also seems that she has plit personalities. One minute she can be talkative, the next, quiet and reserved
History: Dilali grew up near Quambat in a rather large herd lead by a bay stallion called Tagera. Grew up relatively normal, aside from being oddly coloured. It was often rumoured that Tagera wasn't her biological father but it was later confirmed he was when another foal was born of almost the same colouring out of the same mare. Dilali spent her younger days playing with her brothers, including Maluka and Tingara, and sisters.
Dilali left her birth her when she was three and heading north after Tingara towards the Kosciusko region. She wasn't entirely sure what she was looking for but in the end she was swept off her feet by a grey stallion who she later found out was the king of the Cascades. She had one foal by him, a filly named Birubi, before his mysterious disappearance after a fight with who was to be Dilali's next stallion.
Before she was taken by Nevada, Dilali and her foal stayed with her brother Tingara, who was now the new king. One fateful day a great white stallion came for her. Apprehensively she obliged and lived with Nevada peacefully for many months. The peace was broken one afternoon when men tore through where her herd was grazing. All but one horse escaped the onslaught, Dilali's foal Birubi was caught and the brown and white mare has not seen her daughter since.
Still getting over he shock of losing her foal, one night Nevada was attacked and beaten by a great black Friesan stallion who subsequently took her and one other mare from the white. With Garrong Dilali gave birth to his foal, a surly black half-Friesan colt she named Yeranda. The mother and foal were with Garrong for a few more months before Nevada sought the other stallion out, seeking what was rightfully his. Garrong was beaten and Dilali and the other mare returned to Nevada's herd. The main group of mares avoided the two returned mares and their black offspring. Not entirely fussed, Dilali practically segregated herself. Only ever really speaking to Nevada.
