Irawaddy paused, considering the stallion's offer. He seemed decent enough and Omaroo really did need to grow up in a herd environment with a stallion for protection. She nodded thoughtfully "Yes," she replied in her sweet, calm voice "I will take you up on your offer and thank you, I will run with you."

Coorah watched the stallion carefully, wondering how she should answer. Last time she hooked up with a stallion, he'd ran off to god knows where and leaving her with a foal. Even though Ally was a blessing. Ally was a bit confuzzled by all this adult talk, so she arched her neck and bounced to the other foals, demanding to play some more. Watching her, Coorah made her decision. "I will run with you, stallion, but I warn you; do not harm my daughter. I don't care if she is the offspring of another stallion, I will murder you if you try to harm Ally."

Nandalie was very pleased- he now had 2 mares and 2 foals, but they counted as mares anyway. "I promise I will protect both of you and your two foals with my heart." then he paused and looked to Coorah. "I apologize if I have upset your foal, I have no intentions of harming either of these fillies," he announced. The idea was that if he made the foals comfortable in his herd, they might stay as they grew up. That would keep his herd a good number.
Quietly he came over to his herd, and nuzzled Irawaddy, then Coorah. "What are your fillie's names?" he asked. ______________________
Althea was pleased for her brother. Not only had she made two friends, but now he had two mares. The buckskin mare just hoped that this 'Ryu' would show up sooner or later. She was despirate for a stallion now, but was hoping she could stay with Koiji's stallion.

Irawaddy watched Nandalie's reaction to Coorah's speach carefully. She felt that the red roan could be trusted and would not harm their foals, but it couldn't hurt to make sure that was his intent. If he showed any sign of hesitation then she'd be off. Omaroo meant the world to her. She exhaled quietly in relief as he made his promise, and nuzzled him back when he came over to her. What are your fillies names? he asked, and she was pleased that he wanted to know. Arching her neck proudly, she nudged Omaroo forward to meet her new stallion "This is Omaroo." she said, looking at her daughter lovingly "Her name means 'beautiful view'".

Coorah snorted in relief when the stallion did not move towards her foal, or the other ones. She was perfectly willing to harm the stallion if he tried anything, but apart from that, he seemed like a nice guy. Coorah whinnied to Ally, who looked at the other foals in disgust for a moment, before trotting to stand by her mother. "This silly filly is named Boorana Allira, which means "Smoke Daughter." I call her Ally for short."

"Omaroo and Boorana Allira," said Nandalie, trying to admire the two fillies. He'd never experienced foals in this way before, but he tried his best to be a good foster father. "I hope they'll stay in future times," he said. If that happened, then his herd would always be a big number...unless someone attacked.

///I'm sooooooooo sorry that I haven't posted for ages! I suck I know, but I'll do a nice long post to make up for it =3\\\\
Once she had lay down, Koiji felt a wave of something pass through her, it was a strange feeling, ike relief, but also a warning coming through her body. It must be my foal... She thought, shuffling about so that her weight was settled nicely. Ira's words made her look up and grin at her new found friend. "Ah, that's such a relief! I knew it must be coming soon, but I have never had one beofre, and i feared that if I felt pain that I was hurting it.." The news that she wouldn't have to wait for long for her foal now was making her very happy indeed. But still, she was kind of afraid that the birth of her foal would hurt... Casting that thought aside, she watched the little foals canter about and play. Maybe her could join them one day?
She was just about settled when she heard footfalls thundering on the ground. (well, to the ohers they wouldn't have been as loud, but they sounded like that to the weary mare) A red roan stallion, made his way into their little gathering. Koiji eyed him with respect, this was that stallion she had met on the hill!
She looked puzzled at his offer, but she still wasn't sure... She had hopes of finding Ryu one day, and going with another stallion might not work out too well, she remained silent at his request, and continued pondering her options.
Ira and Coorah seemed as if they were going to take this gentleman up on his offers, and Koiji wanted to know what Althea thought of him. She noticed that she had a content happy sort of look on her face, a if she was remembering something from her past... Or someone in this case. She longed now for her stallion to come back, and she hoped that the season of ice and winds hadn't made him meet his end. Smiling at Nandalie, she got as gracefully as she could to her feet, and walked over to Althea. She wanted to ask her friend what she thought, and if they should go with him. She wanted to stay here for a while, her pregnancy had been a hard one, and she knew she'd be gald when it was over. She'd have a beautiful little foal.
///Again soooo sorry about the wait! And if this thread shall live again, would you mind if Koiji went off next post and had her foal?\\\

Ooc: I'm gonna finish this thread, lol it's kinda dead. Bic:
Pleased with himself, Nandalie prepared to leave the creek with a herd of 4. Looking over his shoulder, he called to Coorah and Irawaddy, "We're leaving this place, we'll travel somewhere else with more space," he said, getting into a canter and heading off along the ridge he had come upon.
Althea looked over to Koiji, realising that her friend had noticed her thinking. "That is my brother, Koiji," she quickly said, a little embarrased. "Of course I won't be joining him, I....I'm going to come....with you," she murmered, "And if I like this 'Ryu', then i'll be coming with him too," she added, getting up. She had noticed her friend's pain too, "Do you think, perhaps, that it is time?" she said, motioning to her friend's swollen belly. The buckskin mare was getting ready to leave too.

Content now with the situation, Irawaddy dropped her head to graze peacefully, although keeping a close eye of Koiji’s wellbeing. She would like to stay around here until after Koiji had had her foal, but she was part of Nandalie’s herd now and knew that it was really up to him to decide when they would move off as a herd. At least she would be leaving with Coorah and Ally, so she and Omaroo would have familiar company. Nandalie began to move off, and with a last look at Koiji Irawaddy whickerd to Omaroo and began to follow him at a gentle canter. ---------------------------------------------- Omaroo had no real idea what was going on between her mother and this new stallion, and she really wasn’t worried about it either. Bored with listening in on the adults’ conversation, she kicked up her heels and ran over to Ally, butting her gently with her head and inviting her to play. At her mother's call she dashed after her, looking over her shoulder to make sure her new friend was following too.

Coorah didn't really say anything now, she was quiet and compliant. After all, she had a new stallion now. All a mare had to do was follow lead.
Ally squealed with delight as the other foal butted her, and reared to playfully paw a the other foal's back. She nipped Omaroo very gently, then proceeded to gallop surprisingly fast forone so young.
