Keeping to the valleys, Fira tried to find good grazing in the shadowy place. After leaving the herd in search of Aleo, the chestnut mare made slow progress. Kimba became tired quickly, and Fira had to stop to graze to make milk and keep their strength up. She hadn't given up hope, she still believed Aleo was out there somewhere. Lost or hurt, unable to make it back. He'd never abandon her.
Evening was drawing in, so the russet mare stopped to sleep for the night. As the birds and the insects performed their last chorus of the day, Fira lifted her head and called out for her mate. Kimba looked around with bleary eyes, and collapsed to the ground in an exhausted pile of limbs to sleep. Fira called out, that edge of desperation tinting her shill cries.
She wanted Aleo back, and she wanted him back now.

[glow=orange,2,300]tel walked through the new land, her tail fluttering gently on the breeze and she bobbled her skull away from the flys made a living off horse flesh, she noticed a mare calling for.. whoever he was, well she wasnt Aleo but she was lonley. She walked with grace up to the mare and said softly "I may not be who you are looking for but I am kind of lonley" It was soft and quientened, she loved the days when she could juist gallop along the plains. She smiled meekly to her, like a tired bird that had fallen outof its perch.[/glow]

Fira turned sharply as the other chestnut approached. Stepping in front of Kimba, she snaked her neck, pinning her ears back and baring her teeth. The little filly slept on as her mother warned off the intruder. "Go and be lonely elsewhere, you're not welcome here." Fira stamped a pale hoof on the ground, her white socks dusty from travel. She was searching for Aleo, another mare was an unwelcome distraction.

Tel snorted she knew what had happened and she didn't know who to put it to the mare she shifted and then said "I know about Aleo.. I saw him fight.. and as he was coming back somethng happened" the mare knew he had won the fight but she didn't break off dramaticly for nothing, she just didn't know how to put it. She shifted her golden form, the white star on her forehead had left the white flakes dancing across her skull. She backed up a step, knowing how mares where with there foals but this mare looked dangerous and this brumby didn't intend on getting enemys on her first day. Unless they realy asked for it.

"You saw Aleo?" The chestnuts ears assumed an odd position: forward. "Where is he? Tell me where he is!" Her sudden elation turned to a demand, and she stamped a hoof to enforce that. The angry mother flared her nostrils and threatened the other chestnut by baring her teeth as if Aleo's disappearance was now this mare's fault.

Tel snorted at the mares question, she would be commanded t do something when pigs fly, she then spoke amusement filling her cords "Great battle he did, won, then as he walked home a man ropped him took him away, I wuld of stopped them but I didn't know what i could do" Her next question made the sorrel flicker her thorns and she replyed softy almsot sorrow filling her voice "He dragged him away I don't know where" the mare problery would of followed but that meant she was a stalker, she would of jumped in but then she was oly a straggler to these great lands of Kosciusko and didn't know the trecks and roads, now the brumby was used to the weather and its changes. She locked her orbs onto the mare waiting her reply.

Fira snorted. "You're lying. Aleo would never get caught by a man! He's too cunning, too swift." She snapped her teeth at the other mare. "Be gone, lowlife, and if I hear you've been spreading these false rumours, I'll be back to make sure you never do it again!" Fira stamped her fore-hooves, nostrils flaring in anger.

The brumby knew she had hit a sore spot so steading herself for the outburst she almost sniggered, but conrotling herslef she turned on her heel and sad "Call me what you wish but I am not a rumor beilver, farewell and look after that foal of yours" she guestured towards the foal and then moved silently into a canter before she got herself into hot water, which she was known for. Her golden tail fluttering in the wind as she dissapeared through the bush, Kangaroos skattered as sh was exited, hoping that mare would keep off others and her own tail.
