Name: Pukara (South wind)
Age: Yearling
Gender: Colt
Personality: Quiet/ Kind / Cautious / Intelligent
Appearance: Startlingly white yearling. Pukara is the image of a fine colt in the making. Of lithe build and athletic poise, nimble footing and light carriage that promises strength. It's easy to assume that as a stallion he will still be lean, but shall carry the muscle required to fight with immaculate strength. He has a good sloping shoulder and wide chest that shows good lung room, wide hooves and the short cannons that promise tremendous speed. He bears a mane and tail of quick-silver and a hide of snowy white.
History: Pukara was born into a herd of entirely grey brumbies that lived further south than even the legendary silver horses ventured. His father and his five precious mares wandered the high snow-laiden plains in their winter whiteness, melting into their country as was their wish. But it was not the life for Pukara's mother, although she had been with his father for many seasons now, she was not born to roam so high and so far. So she took her 6 month old foal and traveled to the North and to the Quambat, where she stayed.
For the few months of his life that Pukara had been a member of the mysterious herd he was taught their strange secretive ways, how to melt into the fog and snow, to swish his tail as the leaves of the gums did and immitate their mutterings, to gallop as fast and as hard as he could through rough country and candle bark forests. How to heed the bush's warnings and creep without sight or sound. All of these were valuable lessons, but the older horses doubted he would have taken even half of it in. But his mother kept on with the practice even after she left, so that her son could and always would have the advantage over any opponent, woo any mare that took his fancy. But she was not dense either, she warned him of man and his horse, the foolishness of aquirring a herd you could not keep. Of love.
He left his mother as a yearling to roam the country of the south, to be the wild and the free, and he often keeps in company with other young ones like himself.
Genes: Ee/Gg Extra: Above is adult reference, at present he is a lot lither and carries less muscle. Colt image can be found below, although he is in fact all grey, the photo is mainly for conformation purposes.
