Appearance: Nooroo has inherited his dam’s speed and athletic build. The colt is very narrow through the chest, and even when mature, will never be considered broad. However, with his downhill build and powerful hindquarters, he is quite fast over short distances. He is light of bone, but with a sloping shoulder and short back.

His pasterns are a touch upright, but his hooves are hard and joints flat and strong. Though his head is plain, he has a kind expression, and fine, neat ears. His neck is set high on his shoulder, with a clean throatlatch and good muscling. Nooroo is a hand shorter than Toowoomba, and should stand at around 15.1HH when mature.

Nooroo is a light chestnut, with only a small star and two socks, one on his near fore and the other on his hind leg.

Personality: Nooroo is an adventurous young foal. Indeed, he often encourages Toowoomba to join in his games, and spends much of his time chasing the other horses, or running wildly through the bush until finally exhausted, he collapses into a heap somewhere in the snowgrass.

However, for all his playfulness, Nooroo has inherited the placid and gentle natures of both his sire and dam. He is usually responsible for looking after Toowoomba, and so leads her around to all the best drinking and rolling spots, while making sure she is safe.

Indeed, the colt thinks himself as something of a lead stallion. Of course, his only mare at the moment is Toowoomba and she doesn’t listen to him most of the time, but Nooroo looks forward to when he is old enough to have a small mob of his own.
