Name: Wilgee Species: Brumby Gender: Mare Age: 9 years old
Appearance: Wilgee is lean-limbed and long legged. With strong hindquarters and sloping shoulder, the mare has the quickness of a deer. Her head is fine-chiselled, the forehead broad and nostrils and eyes large. With clean joints and hard hooves, she’s built for speed more so than endurance. Her mane and tail are sparse, and she stands 15.2HH at the withers.
A pale creamy mare with darker points, Wilgee is a direct throwback to Wanga, daughter of Thowra. A darker line runs from her withers to her tail, and she has faint barring on her legs. With four white stockings and stripe, she is a beautiful young mare.
Personality: Wilgee is a fiercely independent mare. Spirited and highly-strung, she often roams the High Country, the first snow of winter pulling her southwards. However, Wilgee is also intelligent and cunning, knowing how to vanish into the bush, leaving no hoof-marks for men or brumbies to follow.
Deeply afraid of men, Wilgee possesses none of Thowra’s curiosity, and none of his daring. As a yearling, Wilgee was captured in a brumby drive, and so has learned never to go near men or their huts. The mare takes no joy in outwitting men, and knows nothing but fear when chased by them and their tame horses.
Mischievous and playful, Wilgee is often seen dancing through the snowgums, mocking the young stallions who would seek her as their mate. The mare runs with no mob, for she is as a ghost, fading into snow and mist.
History: I’ll edit this soon
Genes: ee/aa/nCr/Dd Other: Wilgee means ‘Yellow Clay’. Wilgee is a granddaughter of Wanga x Tambo. She’s a dunalino (palomino with dun characteristics)
