Name: Dulloora 'Little Grey Bird'
Species: Brumby
Gender: Filly
Age: 2 Years
Hight: 14.3hh
Appearance: At birth, Dulloora was an energetic grullo filly, who was already showing significant signs of greying out. As she matures, she will grey out very quickly indeed - reaching a coat colour of virtually all white aside from a few flea-bitten marks by the age of 4. Until then, her coat remains a dusky shade of brown peppered with pale hairs about her face and legs. She inherited her mother and father’s swiftness, along with her father’s shapely Arabian frame. She is fine-boned and small, although this will not show among her fellow smaller built brumbies. She will have large eyes, a lovely dishy face and delicate pointed ears. She has very few conformation flaws compared to the more cross-bred brumbies, thanks to her father. Overall though, she will grow up to be almost the spitting image of her mother, if a little more finely built.
Personality: Spoilt and slightly stuck up - Dulloora was treated like a princess from a very early age. Her mother was overjoyed to have finally given birth to her long awaited filly, and basically thinks the world of her. Allirea frequently told her daughter how beautiful she is, and this thoroughly goes to her head. She likes to parade around like she owns the place, and while no where near as unstable in temperament as her mother, she does have a mean streak that can be brought out unexpectedly. She has also had the dislike for silver mares ingrown into her thanks to Allirea. Unlike her mother, Dulloora is a lot more compassionate to horses she gets along with and loves playing far more. There is nothing she enjoys more than a good romp through the snow in winter or galloping full speed down a snowgrass slope in the summer. She is extremely knowledgeable in the ways of the bush - as her mother taught her everything she knows. Dulloora is an intelligent brumby, but is more reckless when it comes to danger than her mother.
History: Born at the very end of winter, Allirea left the herd quite some days before she was due to give birth as usual. The air was crisp, but the snow was melting and she knew that spring was on the way. In the protection of a secluded valley, Allirea gave birth in the pale grey light of predawn. She was overjoyed to have finally have her filly that she had always dreamed of - and named her Dulloora, for she knew that this filly would grow to be just like her. Dulloora was beautiful, and in Allirea’s eyes she could not see a flaw upon her. Proud that she had produced such a perfect foal, she still did not rush back to the herd, wandering for a number of days while Dulloora built up her strength.
