Appearance: Silver dapple grullo, a pale tan-caramel body with darker legs, dorsal stripe and face. Due to the silver colouring, her mane and tail is a mix of flaxen and black/brown. <Link>
Personality: Ingredients: Liberal amounts of vanity and pride, with a dash of loyalty. May contain traces of intelligence.
History: Born to Nevada and Brael, Calca is everything her parents wanted in their first foal. With such a natural beauty and string heritage, even her mother had to admit she was almost as beautiful as her.

Her youth was peaceful and calm, until that fateful day when her father fought the King... and lost. And the drama only heightened. Men came, and a great brumby run saw her separated from her mother and caught in their horrid yards with all the other common brumbies.

Finally, luck came her way in the form of a storm which aided many brumbies to escape. Calca had stoked up a friendship with a young black stallion with birdcatcher spots - the same young stallion who as a colt had tried to steal her away from her father's herd much to her father's dismay. He was the true King's first-born son, a prince, destined to rule!

After escaping the men, she followed the stallion - Prisma - all through the winter. The King's son collected a few mares that year, but when the next Spring came, she was eager to prove her worth in what she was sure was to be the next herd of the King. He bore him their first son - Kolya.

It seemed that mares and foals did not captivate Prisma that the way the wilds of the High Country did. he seemed to roam away more and more often, until one day he simply did not return. Frustrated and enraged, Calca left in the dead of night, roaming with her son until he was old enough to strike out alone. Then, she joined the herd of the new and currently King - Jirrand.

His reign was not even long enough to bear her a second foal. The next King - Yunkara - was a similar tale. Calca maintains that she is fit only for the King's herd. And now after the bushfire, she is keen to find, impress, and join the next King of the High Country.
