Appearance: Meriki is perfectly black, with no white marks that would cut into the brilliant darkness of her colour. She is perhaps smaller than others her age, slimly built and slender of leg. Being so slight Meriki lacks the robustness that would see her through a hard winter. Though she is fast and agile.
Personality: Constantly curious, Meriki has always been a seeker of knowledge, sometimes to her own detriment. To other brumbies her curious and adventurous nature could be seen as recklessness, though Meriki has always felt that her adventures have been only of benefit.
History: Tantalised by a handsome grey stallion, Meriki was lured away from her birth herd in late spring. She ran with the grey and his other mares for a short while before his interest in her began to wane and Meriki purposely and slowly drifted away from his mob.
