Name: Zila
Species: Brumby/Horse
Gender: Mare
Age: 3
Appearance: Zila is a strawberry roaned mare, with dark, soulful eyes, chocolate brown and fringed with dark lashes. Her build is light and built for speed and stamina, a evident hint of Arabian blood in her veins. Standing at a petite height of 14.3 hh, it's evident that Zila's on the small side, though still thoroughly energetic, and capable of carrying on fights. A smooth, velvety coat on red sprinkled white, and a silky strawberry mane is enough to send stallions into crazed dreams, for she's quite a beauty, more a beguiling nymph than a mortal mare. Her walk is smooth, elegant and graceful, every step made to let her exotic coat shimmer.
Personality: Vivacious, fiery, and witty, Zila's quite a interesting mare. She has a bit of a sarcastic tongue, which tends to land her in difficult situations. The mare takes criticism well, and is quick to give it out according to whomever she's speaking to. Stallions, however, hardly ever win her heart, it being to difficult for her to love whoever it is. In truth, her heart is hard, stone really, and unwilling to crack, despite any pressure. She'll play with someone's heart, manipulate them, toss it around, then completely abandon the poor male, but according to her, it's never been her fault. Extremely intelligent, Zila has long since known how to escape the ropes of humans, and nimbly dodge predators and enemies alike. Overall, she's tough in personality, and hard to break down, being wildly rebellious.
History: Born into a large herd, she never quite grew close to her sire, and was brought up by a mother who never really wanted her. As soon as she was a year old, signs of rebellion were evident. Often running and fighting with the colts of the herd, she was deemed more of a sort of 'tom boy' than the average, docile filly. Her own mother was aghast and shocked at her behavior, and attempted to teach her better, feminine ways. At 2 years of age, she'd had enough, and ran off with a lover, originally one of the colts she romped with, who grew to fall in love with this beautiful, strong willed filly. He had always been her favorite among her chums, with him being already towering over the rest, and one dark, handsome colt. One day, she returned to find him in a fight with a grown stallion, which left him dead.
Distressed by this, Zila wandered on, depressed by the whole event, and was pursued by old beaus, new ones, and mares who evidently hated her, she arrived at this part of Australia, and with a coldened heart, is starting fresh.
