Jesse whinnied gratefully when the filly gave in and approached Alison, and the bay mare slowly walked to the water trough and began to suck in long, slow draughts. The water was cold, like usual, but was sweet and tasted of flowers and grass. Probably from other horses drinking from it, ones that had been given grass and flowers. Alison held her breath when Birubi stole the milk bottle from her hands, and chuckled at her cheekiness. "Hello again. If Jesse hasn't introduced me yet, I'm Alison. That was very cheeky, by the way. Are you sure you're not part donkey?" she teased, brushing a stray lock of hair out of her eyes.

Ooc: Sorry i've been away for so long! Bic:
Yooralla woke up in a pen, blinking as her eyes settled into the darkness of night. She swished the flies away from her mane and got up, looking around. The creamy was exausted from yesterday's failed run, and now she was here, captured, in a man's territory. It was all new to her, for she had never been caught before. Ignoring the foal and mare, she looked around. For some reason, she was calm. Usually, she was jumpy and worried and panicky, but for once, she was too tired to worry.

OOC: Hey Valatone ^_^ Its no probs. I think its still night in this thread, check out Tingara's post at the top of this page =) IC:
Woken by the sounds of the filly foal, Jason grumbled to himself and stumbled out of bed and into some clothes. Tugging on some boots at the door after checking them for critters, he opened the hut door and sat out on the porch. Alison was feeding the foal, and the creamy was -- thankfully -- behaving. He thought if any horse was going to wake him up in the middle of the night, it would have been her.
Yawning, Jason got to his feet and checked the creamy's hay and water. Passing the pen, and continuing past Alison, he went around the side of the hut to check on Marie. She was still fast asleep, so he left her that way. The Devil horse was still tethered in a nearby stall, and had not yet broken free. That was a good sign at least.
Returning to the front of the hut, he leaned on the fence of the second holding pen where the hobbled foal was greedily suckling. She was a mighty fine animal, though she would have to be weaned soon so midnight feedings were off the menu. She looked old enough to be eating solids easily, so he'd have to check her teeth and tempt her with something in the morning.
Muttering to himself, the wrangler went back into the hut and back to bed.

Woorin was in the pen next to Yooralla, and he’d been standing next to her while she slept, cursing the fence stuck like a wedge between them. Jack had been called out for a cattle run and had taken Sam and Lori with him so for once they were excused from the chestnuts shallow taunts.
When Yooralla woke the buckskin quickly looked down, lowering his head and trying to fit it through the slats of the ridiculously high brumby fence to sniff her and make sure she was okay. ”Hey, you doing alright?” he asked quietly. She looked fine, but he suspected it was just a delayed shock reaction.

Damon was growing agitated with being stuck in the stall. From his current position, it was impossible to see what was going on, and the inability to stretch his legs was putting him in a sour mood again. The wannabe horse trainer seemed to have given up on him for some newbie and he was growing jealous that someone else was taking up the man’s time.
He tossed his big head up to try and glance around, but was foiled by the halter. Okay, he was done with the icky stall now; it was workout time, at least in his old place anyway. Despite being gone from there for about a year, he was having a hard time breaking from routine, especially since this place didn’t seem to have one at all. Where was Jason? Damon gave an imperious neigh for attention and stamped his hind leg impatiently.

The foal looked up from destroying the makeshift bottle as Alison spoke. Donkey!? Birubi huffed and stretched out her body to show off her Arab heritage. “I’m not a stupid donkey, you're a stupid donkey!” she whinnied at the human before poking her tongue out and turning her rear towards Alison. She began to absentmindedly scratch her head against a post but soon stopped when Jason came past. Another human. Birubi glared and snorted at him as he went about his business.

Alison stepped back when the foal showed great indignation, and grinned. A foal's fury, eh? She would be difficult to train, but would probably be a champion one-man horse. Of course, getting her trust would be a great first step, so she was set out to do so. "Hey, I didn't mean it. You look part arab, little girl. What have your parents been up to?" she spoke reassuringly, stepping towards her again. She barely noticed Jason do a routine check. Jesse actually winced when Alison made that slip up, and hurriedly swallowed some water, and choked. She spat most of the water out, and began to play up a bit, running alone the fence's edge and snorting while throwing her head up and down.

Yooralla looked up to her brother. She looked despirate and miserable, but she was truely ok. "I'm fine," she said, noticing the man coming out of the hut. The young mare yawned and got up, also noting the fence. With a snort, she tugged a little at her teather. It was too tight for her to untie it, but perhaps when she had the energy she could attempt to wear the rope out.
She shook herself off then shuffled over to the trough of hay. 'Ralla sniffed at the ripe, yellow straws. She'd heard stories of brumbies being captured, then being fed horrid food. From what she was seeing, it must of been all lies. The creamy filly took a big mouthful and chewed. Finally cheering up, she muffled to Woorin, "Twis stwuf wis yummwy...mmmph!" she managed to get out.
