What the...? The strange stallion’s antics towards the men’s hut were terrifying. Maybe Birubi didn’t want to be free if there was a crazed stallion stalking the mountains. Out of fear she pressed closer to Jason as she would have done with her mother. Eyes wide she watched the rain coloured stallion kick a hole into the side of the humans’ dwelling. Why would he do something like that? A hot temper around humans would get him killed, even Birubi knew that. Humans didn’t like horses with extreme tempers. ‘What a fool, Tingara will sort him out,’ she thought, proud to be related to the king. After the stallion had disappeared into the, now relenting rain Birubi began to snuffle curiously at Jason’s coat. She worked her nose into a pocket and whinnied fearfully when her muzzle became stuck.

Holding firmly onto the filly while the crazed animal rampaged around the pens and kicked holes in the hut, Jason was more than glad when the thing left. Even the Devil tied up on the stalls wasn't as rabid as that grey beast! Jason vowed to congratulate the giant creamy gelding for not being the craziest horse in the whole of Australia.
Petting the filly absently, Jason resumed the rubbing of the towel along her back. He chuckled as the foal - true to her inquisitive nature - managed to trap her nose in his pocket. Gently easing her back out, Jason rummaged in the many pockets of the rain coat and found some oats. "Here you go baby, this is what the pockets are for." He put the treats in front of the filly's nose on the flat of his palm. "You'll like them, promise."

A huge crash awokened Alison from her deep sleep, and she leaned on one arm to have a look-see at the source of the noise. A huge hole was in the side of the hut! She jumped out of bed and hurriedly dressed in her boots and a warm jacket before running like hell towards the hole. Rainwater was dripping in, creating a puddle on the warm, once-dry floor. Alison retrieved a few planks of wood and stacked them neatly against the gaping hole, then propped up a few barrels against them. There! Now the hut was dry again. The young woman dressed properly now, and stumbled outside. She was worried about her filly, and the stallion's scream was scary. Man, it was probably more fierce than that creamy critter! Alison walked to the stable, knowing that Jason would probably take the filly into shelter, and she was right. They were in the warmth and Jason was bonding with her filly. It seemed to like him. She grinned at that, and approached both of them. To speak on their level, Alison crouched and stroked the soft fur of her filly. "Hey, Jason. Did you see that huge hole? An insane-looking horse broke it! I fixed it though."

J.D had been watching nervously from his pen, still sticking as close as possible to Yooralla. The King? What was the King doing out here? He didn’t have long to think about it, as in a flash a grey horse had come out of nowhere and smashed a hole in the side of the hut, almost scaring the bujeezus out of him. The buckskin squealed anxiously, and tore himself away from Yooralla’s side to take an anxious lap around the pen just as he had done before the creamy had arrived.
Then, the action seemed to be over and J.D trotted back to his sister again, skin pricked with the cold. How he was starting to wish Jack was back, at least Jack brought him blankets. ”Stupid horse,” he muttered annoyedly, staring in the direction the grey had made his dramatic exit. Either that horse going to be trouble, or be in trouble.

Damon seemed to share sentiments with everyone else. He was still cramped in that stall and unable to see anything, and by the sounds of it, something bloody interesting had just happened and he wanted in on it. He took a second to weigh up the pros and cons of the situation, and came to the conclusion getting wet was worth getting in on things. Besides, stableboy knew better than to let his horses freeze to death, surely.
Pretending to be spooked by all the noise, Damon start to conspicuously start thrashing around and whinny in pretend fear for his Jason.

Ooc: *Randomly joining in*
Yooralla sighed as she finished munching on sweet straws of yellow hay. The stallion who had come earlier to damage the hut hadn't really entraced her like the others. In fact, for once in her life she was rather calm, unlike the others.
Looking over at her brother, then at the hut, she snorted. What had made the stallion done that damage? It certainly didn't impress her, and she wasn't in the least scared.

Oooh what were the things in Jason’s palm? Obviously he wanted Birubi to eat it so she grudgingly obliged. She munched the oats carefully and discovered she liked them. “More please,” she whinnied happily before returning her nose to Jason’s pockets. Hang on maybe Alison had some. She trotted over to the woman as far as the rope would allow and snuffled through her coat too. Maybe these humans weren’t that bad.

Jason patted the foal and stood. Damon was making a racket, and cowboy's spare horse was running circles. "Calm that buckskin down, I'll take the dinosaur." Climbing over the holding pen's fence, Jason jogged round to the stalls.
"What the hell are you doing, trying to brain yourself?" Jason eyed the animal suspiciously. Going into Marie's stall, he used the edge of her trough to reach over the shoulder-high partition. Marie was dozing in the corner, trying her best to ignore the creamy thrashing about next door. Jason grabbed the halter, and tried to stop the gelding from hurting himself.

Damon snorted wildly once, then made a show of calming down with Jason's presence, but still looking anxious. He tossed his head then started edging towards the gate of the stall. Freedomfreedomfreedom.

Alison hurriedly held out a hand full of oats for her filly, then ran to the pen of a beautiful buckskin one of the boys owned. It was walking in circles? "Hey! Jason! What have you been feeding this horse?!" she yelled to him, then climbed over the fence to stroke the horse and try to calm him down.

Jason grumbled and released the animal. Hopping down from the trough, he left Marie's stall and cautiously entered Devil's. Jason was very well aware that one kick from the animal could kill him, so he approached carefully, staying in his line of sight.
