Name: Karkaloo - 'Evening'

Appearance: Karkaloo is a very nicely built filly indeed. She has a straight profile and a pretty head, elegantly arched neck and a deep chest. Her shoulder has a nice slope, and powerful hindquarters. Her legs are long and clean, on neat hooves. Her coat is coal black aside from the extensive snowcap marking on her rump that extends onto her back, and a sock on her left hind leg. Her left hind hoof is also striped, and she has white sclera. She's built for speed and endurance, with a smooth ground covering trot and canter.
Personality: Long gone is the fun loving foal, as this filly grew up rather bitter and vicious under the influence of a spiteful stallion and his equally malicious lead mare. She's prone to bite and kick and fuss, and it will take a strong stallion to hold her, an even stronger one to earn her respect and trust. She has a very pessimistic view on the world, and rarely finds the silver lining. She's not particularly smart either, so being independent isn't really an option for her if she is to remain free.
History: After leaving her dam when she was just a yearling, the mare spent her time with an unkind bay stallion and his chestnut lead mare. The stallion was bossy and a biter, and the mare was envious of her exotic colouring so gave her even more trouble. She viewed it as a blessing in disguise when the bushfire raged across the land, and the heavy stallion and mare couldn't keep up with her breakneck sprint. She finally stopped somewhere in the Brolga's Country and has been wandering aimlessly north ever since. Its a miracle the stockmen haven't spotted her yet.
