Name: Ringarooma
Species: Brumby
Gender: Filly
Age: 2 yo.
Appearance: Ringarooma is a well-built filly. She is like her sire, very much light of bone. However, the filly has a powerful backend, and well-sprung ribs. Her legs are straight and clean, though the hocks turn in slightly and the pasterns are just a touch upright.
Her head is fine-chiselled, with small, curved ears and an almost concave profile. Her sire’s influence is evident in Ringarooma’s energetic movement, and the way she holds her tail over her back when she’s excited or nervous.
The filly’s colouring is fairly ordinary. A bay dun, she has very little in the way of white markings, these being only a large star and lopsided snip.
Personality: Ringarooma is a serious young filly. Having been alone from only a few months old, she really has no idea how to play like other young horses do. Instead, Ringarooma prefers her own company. She usually sticks to less populated areas, where the only brumbies she might come across are lone horses or small mobs.
However, for all this, Ringarooma can be very stubborn. The filly has an independent streak, and hates to be wrong. Because she rarely speaks, most other brumbies consider Ringarooma rather stupid. However, the filly is quite intelligent; she just usually doesn’t get the opportunity to show it.
History: Ringarooma is the only daughter of Durroon and the once King of the High Country, Tingara. Unfortunately, the old mare suffered a broken leg during a brumby drive, and died when the filly was four months old.
Genes: Ee/Aa/Dd
Extra Comments: Durroon x Tingara. Ringarooma means ‘two rivers crossing’.
