Name: Coolalyah
Species: Brumby
Gender: Mare
Age: 4 yrs.
Appearance: Coolalyah is a surprisingly neat-looking young mare, having inherited some of the better conformation of her sire rather than that of Yarrawah.
She is well-built and big boned, with a sloping shoulder and short, strong back. Coolalyah has an attractive head, with a broad forehead and finely tapered muzzle.
A rich chestnut, Coolalyah shows no sign of greying. The filly has a striking wedge-shaped stripe, and a high sock on her right hind leg.
Personality: Unlike the spiteful Yarrawah, Coolalyah is a gentle and loving young mare. She chose to remain in the company of her dam after the death of her sire, and has always stayed loyal to Yarrawah. While there are stallions who would like to add her to their herds, the filly refuses to be parted from Yarrawah.
Coolalyah can be quite stubborn when she sets her mind to it, much to the chagrin of the stallions that pursue her. While not particularly cunning, Coolalyah has learned through experience to be smart enough to avoid even the most persistent stallion. Of late, she has taken great joy in putting her newly learned skills to the test and evading whatever stallion or colt she happens to run into.
History: (Optional)
Genes: ee/aa
Extra Comments: Yarrawah x Waiirri. Coolalyah means ‘south wind’
I realised I never actually made a profile for Yarrawah's foal all those Kossy years ago.
