Nandalie looked over at Irawaddy. "Yes, I'm doing fine..." he added, slowly drifting off. He didn't like being so weak, any stallion could come at any moment and just take Coorah and Irawaddy. But he didn't want to look like a fool, and his herd ment more than anything else to him. All he was going to do for now was stay safe with his herd.
Night was going to fall soon, but unfortunately, Nandalie wasn't going to keep watch. He got up slowly, his knees aching from lying down. His wounds weren't aching anymore and the blood flow had stopped, even though his coat was still drenched. He lowered his neck and bit the grass, finally eating. Tonight he would sleep, and hope that luck was on his side.

Irawaddy could see that Nandalie needed to rest, and so after giving him one more gentle and affectionate nudge with her nose she whispered to him "Coorah and I will take turns keeping watch and wake you if need be", then wandered over to her friend and began grazing next to the palomino, one ear trained on the two foals playing and the other flicking back and forth to catch any sounds from their surroundings. -------
Omaroo had already forgotton all about the fight. Nandalie was back, they were back with Coorah and Ally- what was to worry about? Squealing and bucking she played happily with Ally, with not a care in the world to trouble her young mind.
OOC: Omaroo and Ally are almost weanlings by now right? I mean they would stay with their herd but not necessarily drink their mother's milk........

Coorah had gained some strength back, and whinnied quietly at Ally, signalling she should stop and have some milk before the mare dozed off. After some sleep, it would be easy to keep watch. Ally bared her teeth arrogantly at her mother, and bounded to be behind her friend and nipped the fuzzy hair as it blew past, then scrambled up a slippery snow slope to jump down and play some more.
OOC- sorry for the bad post

Nandalie lifted his head and nuzzled Irawaddy, "Thank you," she murmered before settiling down again. He let out a quiet sigh of relief and drifted off into a dream world.

Ooc: Reply to this and then i'll set up the new thread. Bic:
The next morning, Nandalie woke up feeling a bit better. His wounds were still open, but he could atleast move around without aches or pains in his head and legs. Something felt different, and not because of the fight he'd had. Looking to the sky, he got up and gazed at the snow falling, slowly, but getting thicker and thicker. If they stayed, they'd all be trapped. Nudging at Coorah and Irawaddy, he called, "Quick, we must leave." Nandalie waited for them to get up, standing ontop of a outcrop.

OOC: kk BIC: Irawaddy had been dozing lightly on her feet when Nandalie nudged her awake. She had been taking turns with Coorah all night to keep watch and had only just managed to take a quick nap, even when she had been off guard duty she had been too restless to sleep. She could sense the oncoming winter, and some deep stirring instinct told her that they were way too high too be safe if there was a big snowfall. She jumped slightly at Nandalie's touch and Omaroo awoke beside her. "Quick, we must leave" said Nandalie. Irawaddy knew he was right. She looked round to make sure Coorah and Ally had heard Nandalie then moved off to stand just behind Nandalie. ---------------- Omaroo had never seen snow before. It was fascinating! She stared up at the white flakes intently, curiousty and wonder alight in her eyes. She shivered as the surprisingly cold flakes touched her back, and bucked in confusion as they suddenly came down heavier. What was this stuff?! She snorted and took off bucking, cantering a rather skewed circle around her dam. She had stopped drinking her mother's milk for quite some time now but she still looked to the gentle bay for guidance. At Irawaddy's gentle snort of amusement and reassuring nicker, Omaroo finally stopped her panicked dash. She stood, front legs braced and let the snow dot her black coat. Maybe it wasn't so bad, actually it was kind of fun she thought. She snorted and was amazed to see that her breath came out in little whisps of smoke. This white stuff held no lack of surprises!

Coorah had been sleeping fine all night, just to spite the worry warts in the herd. Honestly she wasn't too worried about Nandalie. He was a tough stallion, and would live. And judging the blood on his hooves, the other stallion had been beaten up pretty badly. They would be safe for a while, and anyway, Coorah wasn't gonna let some stallion waltz in and make her go with him. Not even if he was some silver horse, or even a winged one. The nudge from the roan horse woke her up instantly, and she whinnied in greeting to both of her friends before she noticed the snow. Her eyes grew wide, and Ally slowly woke up in front of her legs. The grulla filly was also fascinated by the snow, and bounded to her hooves, whinnying in delight as the white stuff melted on her hot body and made steam. Not willing to let her start sliding down hills or something, Coorah followed the others down the hill, occasionally shoving Ally in the right direction.
