Barina stood listening to the conversation, becoming increasingly concerned about the potential repercussions of Maluka's encounter with this mare. Fretfully, she stood beside Maluka until suddenly she noticed the little chesnut filly creeping in her direction, her muzzle extended in invitation. Softly, Barina reached her own muzzle out to gently touch that of the filly's, nickering softly in greeting. Her ears flickered back and forth to follow the conversation, and when Maluka invited the mare to stay with them for the remainder of the winter she nearly stomped her hooves in frusteration. That mare had been nothing but sour attitude and bad news so far, why should she stay with them? Honestly, why her? She was just a spoilt, rude creature who'd be likely to ruin all their fun. At least the young filly beside her would have some protection if they stayed, she seemed so much sweeter than her dam could ever have been.
