Waiiri was thrilled to have aquired his first mare, and such a stunning one at that. But now that she was with him he began to worry, she was fickle at the best of times and he worried how he would manage to keep her entertained yet with him, for if they mingled with other horses he would surely have to fight to keep her. It was unlike him to be so nervous and concious of threat but the legends Warring had always loved so dearly about the magnficent silver horses of the wind had another message behind them, and that was that a silver filly was hard to keep. Not that he thought he was a bad fighter, he reflected, puffing out his chest slightly. No, that was not it. It was just...he was low on practice and he didnt' want to be ganged up on. Quite reasonable fears right? He shook his head to clear his thoughts, standing beneath a grove of dark trees as dawn arrived. Doowi was still asleep beside him, and he wanted to be calm and confident before she awoke.

Her beautiful eyes were shut, and she was dreaming about her play, in clear view of the humans. Only this time, she wasn't invincible, like in real life. They could see her! They were chasing her! Her legs were pedalling even while she slept, and in her dreams, she galloped like the wind, away from the evil humans. But in this dream, she wasn't the fastest horse in the land. Oh, horrors, their rope had wound around her leg! She woke up by lunging to her feet, and gave a startled snort as her eyes opened and saw the real world. Doowi looked around fearfully, and realized there were no humans. Only the brave god who was better than her. She gave a playful whinny, and bounced to his shoulder, trying to forget the dream. "Hello, handsome!" Doowi nickered, deliberately sounding flirtatious.

Waiirri had been dozing quietly on his feet beside Waiirri when he felt her stir uneasily beside him. Opening his eyes he looked at her, his expression one of concern as her legs began to move in every direction and she broke into a light sweat. Doowi awoke with a start and lunged to her feet, touching his shoulder gently. He was about to ask her if she was alright but the silver mare spoke first. "Hello, handsome!" she said brightly, and Waiirri, taken aback by the abrupt change in her demeanour, was able to do no more than nod in greeting to her. When he got his wits about him again he spoke, trying to soud confident "What a wonderful morning," he said, then cringed, it sounded so lame "Um, shall we go down the mountain a bit more? It will be warmer lower down and it will be nice to gallop through the last grass of the summer" With these words he suddenly became more confident as he remembered what fun he had racing and playing with her. Arching his neck, suddenly proud, he nipped her lightly on the neck and then pranced over to the little meadow ahead of them, waiting for her to join him.

She squealed in pretended discomfort at the touch of his teeth, and threw her head up and down as her creamy legs carried her body to the grassy, but small, meadow. She lowered her head to eat a mouthful of grass, then grabbed another mouthful and threw her head up again, ripping the whole thing out of the ground. Roots and dirt hung onto the exposed roots, and she playfully bounced it off her stallion, covering his neck with loose dirt. A muffled whinny came from the general area of her mouth, and she dropped the grass, bouncing and rearing around the meadow. She wasn't scared of strange stallions. They would have to go through Warri (That's what she calls him, cause she can't pronounce it and I can't spell xD) to get to her pretty body, and because he had proved he was smarter than her, there was no possible way of that happening.

OOC: oh boy...Waiirri has a lot to live up to to keep Doowi impressed BIC: Doowi squealed then raced over to join him, ducking her head to tear up a huge mouthful of grass , roots and all. She flung it at Waiirri and at first the blue stallion shied away in shock, then realizing what had happened turned quickly to buck playfully at her, careful that his flying hooves came no where near her body. As the two played, snow lightly began to fall down and settle on the grass, perfect ice crystals coating the lifegiving green. Waiirri stopped and looked at the flakes with some concern, he had never been responsible for another, and had always taken his cue to move lower down from the activities of his father's herd. Now it was up to him, and as the wind blew colder and lifted his mane, and the snow suddenly began to fall harder, he knew it was time to move lower down. He paused for a second, wondering how best to encourage Doowi to leave this meadow. She was playing, and he didn't want to concern her, so instead he raced up to her, nipped her again gently then steadily worked his way lower down the valley, prancing and engaging her in play so that she wouldn't worry or rebel against his decision.

The creamy filly squealed at his retreating body, and charged straight at him, placing hooves in the exact right position to not trip over. That was something passed down in the silver line, and it just made her more arrogant than usual. She pinned her ears back cutely and managed to get out in front for a moment before pirouetting on the spot to wave her delicate hooves in the air tauntingly. She had complete respect for him, but being such a pretty mare, her head was full of dead flies and bits of fluff. She didn't remember why exactly he was a god, just that he was one. And thinking of this, Doowi stopped playing for a moment to trot easily at his side, a bit tired from going crazy.
OOC- xD she'll stay with him now, he's made her brain think. That means complete and utter compliance, because she can't think and talk at the same time ^^

OOC: lol yay-Waiirri is happy BIC: Doowi squealed and raced after him, and Waiirri was relieved to see that she seemed to have no real objections to moving lower down. True, she did pin her ears back but Waiirri was pretty sure it was just for show and his feeling was confirmed when she raced out in front of him and reared up, waving her hooves and showing off. Waiirri admired her elegant movements, she was truly beautiful-thank goodness-it made up for her fickleness. But inspite of her attitude, Waiirri was actually becoming quite fond of the creamy, and not just because she was beautiful. Doowi came back down to the ground and turned to trot by his side. Waiirri paused to nuzzle her gently along the crest of her neck then continued his brisk pace down the mountainside.

Her energy was running low, so for the first time in her life, she realized it wasn't such a hot idea to waste it. Instead, her hoof beats became regular, and she just trotted next to her stallion, occasionally placing her head and neck over his withers to snort and nip at the other side. Who said going slow had to be boring?
OOC- bleargh, no muse >.< Not sure what to post, either

OOC: ya, it's probably about time we close up this thread. I was thinking, Waiirri's going to have to figure out about Garrong's anti-silver attitude sometime soon, and as he's still in a state of recovery from his battle with Nevada it would probably be a good time for Waiirri and Doowi to run into him now. It's excitement, but as much danger because there's no way Waiirri could hope to take on Garrong when Garrong is in top shape so he needs to know to avoid him now. sound good? I'll post in the recovery thread, I don't think Illu, Tingara and Vala will mind?
BIC:
Doowi eventually relaxed and settled into a normal trot and Waiirri sighed to himself in relief. They had a ways to go yet and he didn't want her to burn herself out at the start. As the kept going she began to continually lay her head over his crest to nip at his withers on the other side, presumably for amusement and Waiirri rolled his eyes. Why? he wanted to ask, but didn't-whatever kept her happy for now.
