If you listen quietly when its time to turn off the ligh,t you might here the footfalls of foxes in the night, Although you cannot see them, Although their barely there, You can imagine every bristleof red hide and silver hair, And if you watch them carefully you will see them stalk their prey, As they must fill their bellies before the light of day, You may feel sorrow for the field mice as the foxes begin to feedbut as they dip into their tucker you may realise its what they need, You continue watching as the sun begins to rise, The foxes leave and disappear, Its time to say goodbye...
