A sigh wafted from Towera as she wandered through the bush, black and white tail floating behind her slowl upon the thin moutain air. Her hoofbeats muffled by the thin layering of grass around the trees. Thick forelock rushed around her orbs as she rose her skull lightly, wandering out of the scrub and down to the bubbling stream. Breathing a sigh curious orbs wandered the land, scouting for any human inhabitats. Nothing came to sight so cautiously Towera lowered her patched skull and drank from the waters, lifting her skull calmly the mare observed the waterfront. The bush was awake int he early morning and the sky was a beautiful bleached pink. Moving to the cover of the trees that rested on the river bank. The mornings light wandering the open river and the kangaroos coming down and eating the early morning grass, the dew was still upon the grass but no sign of her hoofprints showed untill she went down to the water, but Towera didn't know if the man was awake this early in the morn. OOC - Sorry its horrible!

A grey stallion made his way down the creek, occasionally drinking and not going too fast. He was very casual, having known this land for longer than some, and if needed, could probably lose someone who wanted to follow him. Not many would, though. Stallions who didn't like creamies wouldn't have a problem with his colour, a dappled grey. He stopped after not too long, ears perked up, and he watched a mare with a paint coat drink from the creek. He was completely still, muscles tense, ears pricked and quivering, and Coorain didn't make a sound. She was pretty, and besides, unlike most other stallions around he, had didn't have any mares yet. The grey stallion gave an imperious whinny, and trotted down to meet her, making sure it didn't look like he was sneaking up on her.

Auids perked as she saw a stallion wandering her way. Her lyrics came out in a smooth breath "hello. Nice to meet someone who has the courage and walk along the man river" Towera looked to him, her black forelock looping around over her orbs, she guessed she looked like a modern brumby but had the thick accent from the east of Aus. He was taller then her, she didn't guess how high he was but she was classified as a small creature, only 14.2, but it meant she was quick on her feet and short-footed with the moutains, she was sure that he was too "So whats your name? I'm Towera"
OOC - Arrg I am so annoyed I had a longer post typed up then my dad deleted it!

He flung his head up high to loosen some of the painful muscles in his neck, which he had taken from a battle with another stallion. He had almost won, but decided to let the stallion keep his mares. That horse was too young to take that kind of heartbreak. She spoke to him, and Coorain whinnied breathily in a sigh. She was very pretty, and so was her voice. Because of that, he decided to answer straight away. "Same to you, ma'am. I am Coorain, which means wind. Not the great wind like Thowra, but wind nonetheless."

Towera smiled lightly, her multi-coloured skull lighted up slightly, Coorain, it had a shing to it. Towera notice htat hers meant the opisit "thats intresting Coorain, because my name means fire. Like the.. fires I suppose" A loose chuckle was released from her maw as her orbs watched Coorain, he was an intresting type, born here? Or foriner like herself?

He pushed his face a bit closer, and breathed in her scent, memorizing it. This was something all wild horses did, it was like how some humans memorize faces, only scent was better, as it usually couldn't be fooled. She smelled nice, for a horse; some horses smelled like they had just rolled around in poop. On the other hand, maybe they did. Coorain didn't do anything like that, because poop is just disgusting, and he could blend with the bush without disguising his smell with poop. Anyway. Forgetting poop. He puffed out his chest, mainly to look bigger than anything else, and kept a close watch on the country side. Humans did appear along here a lot, something he didn't like, but it was also true that they usually didn't come back until late spring. It was too dangerous beforehand. "Where did you come from? I'm sure I haven't seen you around here before, you would have been snapped up eagerly by the other stallions that live around here."

Where did she come from? Oh right she remembered "I came from the east, a place called Mt Sugerloaf" I sort of gestured to the east. I sure did hope I didn't smell like poop, sheesh did some horses have such bad body order they rolled in poop just to make them selfs smell better? well if you smelt bad from where I cam from there was a simple solution. The river. Though she had to admit the air down there was so thick with eucalyptus leaves you would have to rolled in a whole mountain of poop before you could be smelt, but no one really complained because the mountain was almost um bearable to climb with out a mountain horse or a brumby that knew the land and man never normally dared to climb to the valleys and find them.

He whinnied in laughter, like horses do, picking up on her emotions and elaborating to find out what she was thinking. Poop is gross, and will always remain gross. So stop talking about poop. "I didn't come from here, I came from a place called the Murrurrundi Ranges. Humans started to try to get my herd, so I ran away. I found this place, and I've stayed here ever since. Good place though," he concluded, and proceeded to graze.

Never heard of the place, she concluded. Orbs watching him silently, then she turned her gaze out towrads the trees to hide a grin, were stallions around here always this... charming? She supposed not, but still he was the first she had met around here. Towera "well that sucks" yeah it was a short speech but it meant mostly everything she said, she felt bad for him, she only came away to discover a new place, plus things were bogus at home, she didn't know what happened after the brushfire but she stayed and then found that there was nothing left there for her, because everything was burned in her own flames.

He pulled at the grass, and it was actually satisfying his hunger. Spring did wonderful things for grass, making it greener and tastier than the last few months. Sadly, this also made the dirt come up with each pull, but it's not the hard to break dirt off. Just bang it on a rock or something. Coorain finished eating his fill, and drank some water from the creek. Honestly, he was bored. There was nothing a horse could do around here, apart from race or run from humans. In his boredom, the dappled horse leaned on the mare, snorting a sigh.
