Ally slowed down with Omaroo, fast but with as limited strength as any brumby foal. She panted heavily, head down, and followed her buddy through the bush, step for step. So maybe that was why whenever the word "Human" was said, all horses went silent? Maybe everyone else was afraid of them! Well, she wasn't afraid! That human was! She tried to scare them, but they laughed and left! The grulla filly snorted impressively, explaining her feelings to Omaroo. Obviously, the thought that they were further than ever before from the herd hadn't occurred to her.

Omaroo snorted at Ally's proud posture, she knew the grulla foal had been just as scared as she had only minutes ago. Still, she said nothing, walking through the woods catching her breath and wondering what on earth they were going to do now.
[Ack! sorry its so short!!]

A stiff rustling in the bush behind the fillies betrayed another presence. Was it the human following them? Nandalie stomped through the untraveled foliage, craving his own path as few brumbies strayed this close to man and the only open pathways were man's. Nervous at being so close to the man's hut, Nandalie flinched at every sound. Only when he heard Omaroo and Ally up ahead did his frustration take over. Breaking into a trot, he crashed through the rest of the bush between him and the young fillies and emerged ragged and entangled in various plant life.
"There you are." He hissed. "What were you thinking, running off like that? And coming so near this hut! I've told you before," he hoped he had, "Never go near man!" The strawberry roan was angry, though he was relieved to find the two safe and sound.

The grulla filly shrank back from the angry stallion, trying to disappear in the undergrowth. Frankly, she was in no mood for getting freaked out of her mind any more today. The human had been terrifying enough. She lifted her head and snorted at his face, though she missed because of the dirt and leaves sticking in her eyes. "We were thinking that living hidden away where it's boring isn't fun!" she retorted, sidling over to stand next to her friend. Maybe she could help out with this. Oh, hell. Mum was gonna be furious.

A sudden rustling in the bushes behind them made Omaroo leap forward then spin around in fright. From out of the bushes came....a red roan stallion. Wrapped in leaves. Omaroo almost snorted in laughter but just managed to contain herself. They were going to be in enough trouble as it was anyway. But at least now that Nandalie had found them they'd be safe. Omaroo, being the naiive young horse she was, automatically assumed the stallion would be able to protect herself and Ally from any harm. Keeping her gaze trained on Nandalie, Omaroo moved closer to Ally's side, she and her friend were in this together-oh boy though. Were there mothers ever going to be mad.

Nandalie grunted. "Boring is safe, Ally. Would you rather be caught by a human and spend the rest of your life tied with ropes and burdened with their weight? You couldn't run when you wanted, eat what you wanted or even play with who you wanted. You do not want to be caught by man, its better to be bored and free than bored and captured." Softening a little, the russet roan lowered his head and turned the two in the right direction. "Come on, let's get out of here. You can explain why you disappeared to your mothers, I'm sure they'll understand." He snorted, smirking as he gave them each a shove to get them moving. "Unless, of course, you can promise me you won't be doing it again and then I might forget to mention it." A little bribery could do them both good. They would be indebted to him, and he wouldn't have to explain how they got away in the first place. Not that he hadn't been trying to keep them within sight.

The grullo filly did the best impression of a pout that horse has ever accomplished. She didn't know what exactly a human was, but perhaps it was that dingo on the back of that horse? Maybe human wasn't a species, but it was a term for dingos that could apparently ride horses? Either way, she didn't like the ideas that Nandy (his new nickname <3) had told her about, and she decided to hang out with him until she was old and big enough to make them go away by herself. She threw back her head and strutted, showing off her fluffy coat and almost shiny legs with a flair that would have impressed even a crusty old fart who couldn't do anything but graze. And only on his knees. Sure, she was just a yearling, but who said she couldn't strut her stuff? Tactfully, Ally left the negotiations to her bud. She wasn't all that great at accepting favours or bribes.

Omaroo watched Ally strut away and show off. She rolled her eyes, she knew it was mainly charades. After all, Ally had been just as scared as she was only minutes ago. Looking at Nandalie and recognizing the potential for a deal she sweetly walked over to the red roan stallion and nuzzled him "We're sorry," she nickered "You're the best, thank you!" Then she turned and trotted over to Ally as quickly as she could without seeming suspicious. She didn't want to give Nandalie any chances to extract a promise from the two of them. After all, the way things were now she hadn't technically agreed to his terms regarding their behaviour. She pranced over to Ally and headbutted her friend playfully in the side so that she was pushed off balance. "Stop showing off," she teased.
