Another day dawned over the hills of Kosciusko, lighting up the country that once belonged to the Brolga. Aminta stepped happily into the valley, and stopped on the edge of the trees, waiting for Currong to appear. The kind gentleman she'd met last spring had taken her in under his wing as it were, and looked after the filly like they'd been best of friends the whole of their lives. She was happy to finally feel like she had a home, and that it was with someone as nice as this guy. She smiled to herself as she saw his figure make its way up the slope towards her. "It looks so pretty all covered in snow," She said once he was besides her. ""Like out of a dream or something..." She sighed, nuzzling Currong. Her intelligent brown eyes glanced across the vicinty. It was nice to be able to get this sort of land, with no inhabbitants at this time of year. Aminta had learnt a lot from Currong about the High Coutry, since she'd escaped out here almost a year ago. She smiled to herself, thinking that this was perfect. She felt so at ease with her companion they both understood what it was to be made fun of, Aminta being a laughing stock because of her human origions, and Currong with his beautiful eye, not that she minded the colour, in fact, she loved it. "So Currong, anything I need to know before I go down there and make a fool of myself?" She joked, nudging him gently. She was a newb to the High Country, and often made mistakes, Currong there to laugh and help her past it. She looked at him and grinned, waiting for a responce. ||~Sorry its a little sucky, but it should get things going =3~||

Currong walked out of the woods behind Aminta, smiling to himself at her joyous energy. In the year they had been together the two had become close and he was glad to see her happy. "So Currong, anything I need to know before I go down there and make a fool of myself?" she asked as she reached his side. He nuzzled her affectionately, blowing warmly into her nostrils before replying "Well," he said teasingly "I know it's early spring but you might want to start with proceeding with caution when you exit the woods," he pulled at at strand of her mane gently, letting her know his advice was only in her best interest. "And scent the air before you go down there, though you may not see anyone it doesn't mean there isn't anyone lurking out of sight." He gazed out over the valley, a blanket of new and tender snowgrass, and knew that they wouldn't be able to stay there long without having to fight for their share of land. But for now there was no one else to trouble them, why not have some fun? Though different colours his two eyes sparkled with the same playful energy as he swiftly snaked his head to the side and nipped Aminta playfully on her neck before tossing his grand head and plunging down the slope towards the snowgrass flat.

Aminta's energy was causing her to seem more bouncy and lively than usual. Before she met Currong, she had been sad and reluctant to enjoy herself, but once she'd found her friend, she become more like how she'd been in her former life in the stables, happy and bouncy. She nuzzled Currong again as he chuckled at her animated actions. He pulled at her mane gently and she giggled as he fondly told her to chck before she ran out into the valley. She nodded, and turned her head to nuzzle him again. "You know I'd be lost without you," She said softly, and to tell the truth, she would. Having grown up in the company of humans, she felt that they opposed no threat to her, and would have if she was on her own, gone up to a human and greeted him. Amita's deep brown eyes gazed longingly at the lush snowgrass that lay in the valley. She followed Currong's advice, and looked and listened for any sign of another in the valley, but she heard nothing, so she turned to him for his opinion. He seemed ready, and playfully nipped her on the neck, she whinnied softly to him and followed him down into the Brolga's old country. She soon caught him up what with her throughoughbred blood, and tossed her mane and nudged him softly on the side. She blew through her nostrils and with a cheeky glint in her eye said; "Race you to that tree!" Grinned, and sped off.
||~up to you who wins the race =3 ~||

Race you to the trees! called Aminta as she rushed past him. Currong gave a good-natured buck and sped up, barreling after the light boned mare. Unlike the bay Currong was not built for speed, he knew his chances of winning this race were slim, if that. Still, he galloped after Aminta, sturdy legs churning beneath his compact body. He managed to catch up to her side and cut moved her slightly off course. Then he put on an extra burst of speed so that he was ahead before suddenly whirling around and stopping square in front of her. Eyes sparkling with mischief, he blocked her way “You may be faster,” he teased. “But if you can’t get to the trees you can’t win.” He tossed his head playfully.

Amita giggled as Currong's surge of speed pushed him passed her and into the lead. As they pulled up, now on the other side of the valley, she gently blew through her nostrils and nuzzled him. "Whew, that was close," She teased, then added, "I let you win" She grinned at him cheekily. He wasn't built for speed like herself, but that never stopped him racing her. She laughed softly as he spoke of how she might be faster. "True, rules are rules." She said, tossing her head. She laughed again as she lowered her head, taking in the sweet smell of the snowgrass. Aminta started to nibble at it daintily, before looking up to see what Currong was doing. She nudged him gently with her nose, and then stepped back. "Tag!" she announced, baring her teeth with a grin. She trotted a little down the bank back towards the valley, and waited to see if Currong would play along.

Currong could never resist a game with the beautiful mare but pretended not to notice her touch as she 'tagged' him lightly. Instead he grazed quietly, lipping at the grass and moving slowly but steadily in her direction. When he was within a few feet of her he suddenly swung his head to the side to bump her shoulder before leaping away and cantering off, tossing his head playfully.

Aminta's bottom lip jutted out a little as she pouted at Currong. She knew he'd probably join in eventually but at the moment he seemed completely unconcerened about playing a game. She relaxed her playful posture, and dropped her head down to graze. 'We'll have plenty of time for silly little games later...' She thought to herself, grinning as she grabbed a mouthful of snowgrass. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw that Currong was slowly making his way toward her, but didn't think much else of it. It was only when she felt him bump her on her shoulder that she looked up and grinned, baring her teeth at him. He tossed his head playfully as he cantered further into the valley, and she giggled gently. "I'm gonna get you, Currong!" She laughed playfully, cantering after him. She caught up to the spot where he was stood and attempted to bump his shoulder back, but slightly misscalculated where he was and bumped his butt. Even so she smiled triumphantly, a cheeky glint flickering in her eyes. She flicked out her tail and cantered towards where they were stood previously, bowing her head to eat, but keeping an eye on what Currong was doing. She lifted up her head after she'd grabbed a mouthful of grass and then watched him as he made his way over. ||~ if you think the last bits god-modding, then I'll be happy to change it ~||

OOC: nah that's ok BIC: Currong galloped back over to her, heading straight for her flank and looking as though he was going to collide with the mare. At the last second he veered away, half-rearing and spinning around playfully. He felt good. This had been the best year of his life, thanks to Aminta. He dropped his head down to graze beside her, cropping at the fresh snowgrass contentedly, ears flickering to keep an eye out for any possible danger. OOC: not really sure what else to say really? :/

OoC;:- Do you want to have them talking about foals? That might move the thread on a bit =3 or maybe they coud have a sentimental chat? What d'ya think? =3
Aminta's life had greatly improved since she'd met the wonderful stallion in front of her. Currong in many ways had been her guardian angel; his main prioity - it would seem - would be to look out for her. She giggled at the thought, wondering if she was really lucky enough to have acquired an guardian angel. Currong was galloping in her direction, looking as if he was going to collide with her, but at the last minute, he pulled up and reared playfully. She joined him, troting a little further away from him and buckng for sheer delight. The grin that was covering the mare's muzzle was humungous. She cantered back over to Currong and burried her head under his mane. Giggling slightly she pulled back after a few seconds and looked at him, a question forming in her mind. The question was one she had been meaning to ask for a while, but hadn't. Now seemed like an appropiate time though... Her deep chocolate eyes looked longingly into his. Aminta opened her mouth as if to say something, but nothing came out.

OOC: lol, either one is fine with me Currong nuzzled Aminta back affectionately and looked at her curiously as she went to speak but then closed her mouth without forming the words. "Go on, what is it?" he asked gently "Don't worry, you can tell me." He gazed back into her eyes, trying to reassure her that whatever it was, he was willing to listen. The grulla stallion was patient and kind, and he loved Aminta. He hoped nothing too serious was bothering his friend.
