Dakota thoroughly enjoyed herself as she frolicked through the valleys and hills. The dunskin mare splashed through streams and tributaries, darkening her already prominent grulla markings. With a whinny that could just as easily have been a laugh, the mare kicked up her heels and galloped across the green. There was a certain freedom that went with being unclaimed that gave her hooves wings.
It was with bright eyes and a light heart that she trekked across the verdant plains, her ears pricked forward with a distinct air of curiosity. The mare was looking forward to the sun soaked days ahead. Dakota couldn't stand winter, but she managed to tolerate it for the few months that it encroached upon her sunshine.
With new life brimming in her pale blue irises, Dakota meandered along the grassy paths with her ears airplaned and her head down. The mare was tired, but utterly content. There were few things that could have improved her mood just then, and Dakota didn't want to bother thinking of them. Instead she simply basked in the perfection of her day, loving the prospect of more like it to come.
