Bio
Name: Jack Ryan
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Appearance: Only just in the range of what could be considered tall, with a lean wiry build. He has thick, dark brown hair which is starting to bleach a little thanks to so much sun. Though doesn't spend a huge amount of time on his appearance, and although he normally makes an effort to look presentable, some days it’s quite obvious he really couldn’t care less.
History: Jack lived on his parent’s small sheep farm and dropped out school first chance he got. They lost money soon after, closed the farm and moved to the city, but Jack decided to stay behind and see if it was possible to still scrap a living out here. After losing his gelding in a brumby run, he gave up on wild horses and became a drover instead. His sister decided to stay with him for a little while because she didn’t want to lose her school friends, but left too a few months later.

Name: Lori
Gender: Female
Age: 4
Appearance: A flaxen chestnut Quarter Horse mare with a funny looking stripe. She stands about 15.1hh, and her overall conformation is decent enough but her shoulder angle is too steep, she’s over at the knee and just slightly camped out behind.
Personality: Still green, but intelligent and willing to learn. She loves people and is a complete attention and praise seeker.
History: Lori is actually owned by a 43 year old woman who had a riding accident shortly after buying her. She sold all her horses except her favourites, and she’s paying Jack some good money to train Lori to make her a riding horse for her two children. This suits Jack just fine as he needs the income and a suitable horse to use.

Name: Jack Daniels
Gender: Male
Age: 2
Appearance: A beautifully built buckskin colt that looks to mature at a solid 16hh, large considering his heritage and only those who remember the great Silver Stallion would recognise him as a throwback, but not in colour. His age belies his speed and nimbleness, and he looks to have great potential for the future.
Personality: He used to be a confident, competitive, strong willed sort of horse, but since his capture, he’s been jumpy and quite nervous about everything around him. Jack has already been doing ground work with him, so he leads and will wear a halter, bridle and saddle cloth.
History: J.D used to be called Woorin and is Yooralla’s half brother. The two of them where quite close while they were young, but drifted apart a little as they got older and Woorin spent more time with the other colts.
Jack, his sister Sera and two of his friends attacked the herd one day, out for Yooralla. His sister managed to get into the trees to safety but the men were between Woorin and the trees, so he had no choice but to run into the open. They figured he was the next best thing to the creamy filly, and Jack managed to rope him and hold on.
Woorin, in a panic, did as he had been told and rushed for the roughest country he knew, and Jacks bay gelding took a serious stumble. His friend Daniel managed to grab hold of the rope, and his much stronger horse and Jack's Blue Heeler managed to subdue the terrified two years old.
The bay was put down because of his leg injury, and Jack kept Woorin to make up for the loss of the gelding and he and Daniel decided to name him after the both of them. Jack took on Lori to use as his main ride, and is preparing J.D for his eventual breaking in when he turns three. He has spotted the colts potential, and is debating training him as a barrel or cattle runner for competition in the future, thus why he has neglected to geld him so far.

Name: Sam
Gender: Desexed Male
Age: 4
Appearance: A square, compactly built sort of dog with a surprising array of facial expressions despite being, well, a dog.
Personality: Very much a goof when alone with Jack, but in any other situation he knows his job as a cattle dog and is completely focused. Not very fond of strangers or other dogs, but tolerates them if Jack does. He does have a bit of an aggressive, dominant streak and refuses to allow any other dog to be above him in the pack order. Like other dogs of his breed, he likes his job a little too well, fully capable of herding the horses and cattle all throughout the night if he isn’t tied up.
History: Bred by one of Jack’s fathers friends and given to them as a gift. He was trained to herd sheep and stayed with Jack when his parents left as they knew he’d have no sort of life lying in a backyard all day. He switched from sheep to horses to cattle quite easily, and being as good a worker as he is, is highly valued by his owner.
