Summer made no move to kiss him, and instead headed in the opposite direction, sauntering towards the barn. She made her way into the grain room and mixed up a warm mash and some sweet feed, sticking in some apple slices for good measure. She lingered in the room for a moment before leaving, swinging her hips slightly as she left the barn. Summer yawned slightly and approached the fence again, whistling sharply. All three of the horses cantered to the fence, but she made sure that Rolo got at the treat while she quickly untied the rope. Rolo started slightly and backed up a step, looking at her suspiciously before continuing to eat. Summer let him finish before hopping off the fence and collecting the rope. She turned around and put the bucket down, holding the rope in a fist at her hip. "You want this tatty thing back, mate?"

Taking the rope carefully with just his fingertips, he winced as the skin on his palms stinged. "Tatty? Hmmf." He walked over to the hut's porch and dumped the rope on a bench. He'd curl it properly later. Raising his hands, palms toward the girl, he lifted his brow again. "You gunna patch me up, Sheila? Or watch me suffer?"

"Oh, I dunno. I sort of like watching you be helpless," She said, laughing wickedly. Summer followed after him, lingering by the doorway for a moment before entering and gesturing after him. The place wasn't anything special, but it was home. Summer wandered over to the kitchen and wet two rags, handing them to Jason before rummaging around for some bandages. "Make yourself at home, I s'pose."

The young man followed her in, closing the door behind him with his foot and finding a stool to sit on. Taking the rags, he tried to dab at his left hand with one but found his right would twinge and he'd only make it worse. Grumbling, he waited for the girl to return so that she could do it. This would teach him for being arrogant for once.
"Whats your name then, Sheila?" He flashed a wry smile. "Or do you like 'Sheila'?"

Summer returned a moment later with some peroxide and gauze, placing them on the counter near him. She snickered slightly, leaning back against the sink. "What if I told you my name was actually Sheila, mate?" She replied, raising an eyebrow in question. Summer turned and tore off a piece of gauze, soaking it in peroxide and setting it on the counter before taking his hand gently in hers. "My name's Summer though, so no worries," She said, "Oh, and this is gonna hurt. Lots." She added quickly, laying the peroxide soaked bandage over his left hand.

He tried his hardest not to jerk away, but the sting of the peroxide on the wound was enough to make his should expletives very loudly in an attempt to stop from fleeing. "Jeez girl, you're dangerous!" He said in a strained voice. Steeling himself, Jason gritted his teeth and endured her nursing with only the occasional swear.

"You know it, mate," She laughed wickedly, smirking up at Jason. "It'll be fine soon, Jazzo. Just wait it out," Summer said languidly, leaning back against the counter. After a few more minutes, she removed the gauze, dried the wound, and wrapped his hand in clean, dry gauze. "Good, now for the other one," She said under her breath, soaking a new strip of gauze and laying it on the counter before taking his opposite hand in hers and turning it palm up. There were a few stray strands of rope fiber stuck in his skin that she picked off with gentle fingers before laying the peroxide soaked gauze on his hand. Summer waited another few minutes before rewrapping that hand as well. "I'd say you'll be out of work for a few arvos, but it shouldn't be too terribly bad. It'll be hard to mount back up like this without hurting yourself more, though," She observed off handedly, throwing the bloody gauze out and putting away what remained of the clean.

Jason grumbled, examining the bandaged palms. "Dead set, how can I ride such a troppo mare all the way to Dead Horse? I'll just have to kip here! Marie will be fine, she can cope with any old horse, crazy or no." He grinned, looking around the hut. "So, whats for tea?"

Summer glared at him apprehensively, then shook her head. "Nu-uh. No way are you staying here, mate. I've got things to do, people to see. Anyway, she'll be apples in a few hours," She said, gesturing at his hands. "You can't kip here, I've got... things. To do. Brumbies to catch 'n' all that," Her words were dry and sarcastic, but the glint in her eyes was entirely serious. "'Sides, like you said, daddy's got some strict rules 'bout blokes. Wouldn't want me seen 'round with one like you - a few kangaroos loose in the top paddock 'n' such. So just nick off, ya hear?" Summer placed her hands on her hips, glaring up at him defiantly.

Jason pulled a mock offended face. "You got me in this mess." He said, waggling his bandaged hands in the air. "So you oughta look after me 'til it all heals up." He crossed his arms over his chest, looking resolute with a humoured glint in his eye. "Besides, I don't see your daddy here, so what's 'e gunna do about it?"
