Oh, Brael. Nevada mentally kicked himself. "Sorry Dilali, Brael didn't mean it, did you, Brael?" Shuffling nervously, he greeted Baramay with a hearty sigh. Glad his herd was together, he trotted around the three mares and the nicely coloured filly and suggested they get moving. "We'll go back to the Bogong, there's good grazing there and I think your filly will enjoy the springy grass to play on, Dilali." Nudging each of his perfect mares in the direction of the higher ground, he nickered encouragingly to get them moving. "You can tell me about this idea of yours when we get to the Bogong.", he told Brael before she could cause any more delays.

Ooc: *runs up* Wait up guys! Lol Bic:
Valatone forgot about the trouble Nevada was causing. It had nothing to do with her now, so she turned her attention to someone else. Crayola. The mare was being silly, no one could care for three foals. At Tingara's sugestion, she stepped up to them. Seeing that Cobalt seemed to like Baree, she nuzzled him. "Could I look after this one?" she asked, hoping that herd friend wasn't going to be offended. ___________________
Cobalt sighed and walked over to Prisma, hoping to get a game out of him. He whinnied and reared up on his spindly hind legs as he'd seen his father do. "Lets play!Play!" he called out, dashing around a bunch of snowgums to lead a chase.

Brael just stared at Dilali with a rather horrified ‘oh crud’ sort of expression. She’d just stuck her hoof in her mouth hadn’t she? ” Er, no! Of course I didn’t!” she agreed quickly, sidestepping worriedly, but resenting being yelled at all the same. Who was this newbie to start yelling at the established herd like that? ” I just wanted to... you know,” she stammered, then lapsed into a silence that lasted about two seconds before she muttered ”Well, you have to admit the whole affair is sort of suspicious” to herself in hushed tones.

Baree awoke to a soft nose prodding his neck gently. He opened his eyes blearily and looked up at a cream face. Sighing tiredly, he tried to get up and greet the mare properly but his tired legs wouldn't listen to his brain. He got half way up, his front legs stretched out comically in front of him, splayed to either side. He stretched his neck and touched the mare's nose sweetly then yawned widely and let his legs collapse again. Once again lying down he fell back into a deep sleep.

Ooc: Tingara's herd stays here, right? Bic:
Valatone laughed and nuzzled Baree as he fell asleep. Now she had two sons to look after! The white mare lay down on her knees next to the young one and comforted him. She enjoyed looking after foals as much as most mares did. Looking up at Tingara, "Are we staying here?" she asked him.
Cobalt was rearing with glee as he saw his mother looking after Baree. Who was this colt? Another brother, or a stranger? Whoever he was, he was a friend. "Don't sleep now, lets play!" he nickered, nipping Baree's back. Valatone snorted and snapped her teeth to show her disaproval, so Cobalt stopped.

Baree thought he felt someone lay down beside him and he sighed contentedly in his sleep. A sharp nip brought him briefly, but rudely, awake and he saw the black foal, Cobalt, dash away before closing his eyes again and snuggling closer to the cream mare that lay beside him. For now he was safe.

Crayola looked a little dejected as Baree was led away, but she let him go; she'd been told to after all. Calling her first two sons close, the appaloosa mare began to graze quietly. Occasionally she would sneak a glance at Baree and sigh, but after watching her own sons romp and play, she cheered a little.

.:Ooc: Corowa! You can bring Myrrina in if you want! I miss hearing from ya! =(
Bic: Prisma suddenly got brave again. He went and investigated Baree, who was asleep next to Valatone. "All he does is sleep," he complained to Crayola, "and that's no fun." Soon he got bored of watching his mother graze, he nickered to Burnum playfully before practically jumping on him. Prisma's laughter rang out through the valley, startling the nearby wildlife. He whinnied to Cobalt to come and join in the play fighting. There were no soft fillies around anymore so he could be as rough as he wanted.
-------------------------------
Tingara watched agitatedly, what Ammi had said was whirling through his head. Nevada was the last person to see Aleo. He knew as king that he couldn't stay in the valley all the time. His duties to the bush and its creatures were pulling him out. He hearded his mob down further in a more secluded area before calling out to Ammi. "Ammi!" he called, "I know you don't normally do this but would you do me the honour of protecting my mares? I would be endebted to you and very greatful." Tingara bowed his head to the majestic dingo and waited patiently for her reply. One of the reasons he'd asked her was to show that he trusted her.

Burnum was hit by surprise and was almost knocked clean off his feet. None the less he recovered quickly and was about to counter with a swift playful nip, only to find Prisma had already moved. He whirled around, and made a run at the spotty colt, attempting to return the favour by jumping him back before Cobalt got a chance to distract Prisma’s attention.
Dimly he registered Tingara was moving the herd, so he pulled back and neighed, then made a run at Prisma and Cobalt to try and play-chase them back to join the mares.
