Alison was very tired. Fighting the creamy had been hard enough, but when a dog woke her up, her eyes were glued shut. She climbed out of bed and quickly put on jeans and a t-shirt before running outside to see what was happening. A gorgeous silver filly was galloping away, while Jason and a cattle drover gave chase. Alison quickly ran to Jesse and tacked her up, before leaping into the saddle and urging Jesse into a gallop. Jesse was tired too, but woke up easily in the night. She whinnied while Alison tacked her up, and galloped lightly after the filly. The other two ridden horses were racing each other, and Jesse snorted before swinging to be on the far left side, so if the filly turned she would get roped by the lasso Alison now held.

Jason was almost disappointed by the easy chase. The Silver Brumbies were supposed to be elusive as smoke, cunning like a fox and using the high country as their playground. This one seemed to almost give up, accepting her fate. The legendary Silver Stallion's blood must be running thin. Letting loose his rope, Jason hoped this would wind up as easily as it seemed to be going. The cattle boy better realise what a prize this was, a Silver filly. With a grin, Jason wondered how the cattle boy would repay his services. By rights, the silver was his, Jason wouldn't take her as his own but he was owed something at least.

Yooralla watched the humans for a while. What were they doing? Would they rope her or not? Stamping a hoof she tried to catch the attention of the ridden horses, particulary Jesse. "Psst...what are they going to do with me?" she asked in a shy voice, her face hidden. Why oh why had she lost all her knowledge back there, and now be caught? If only she had studied for a while, the hut with the smoke and Woorin outside, she might not of been right where she was right now.
Again the silver filly lifted her head to the sky and yelled a sad, scared whinny to Nevada. "Please, please hear me," she thought.

Jason wasn’t the only one that was disappointed, Lori looked downright furious as she trotted up to the roped filly. ”Oh you got ta be jokin!” she angrily, fixing Yooralla with a glare of death. ”You call yourself a silver filly? This is downright embarrassin’ and you should be ashamed of yaself for this! Better have wheeled around and come kickin’ than manage to show yer nothing more than a weak little piece of silver trash! The Silver Brumby must be rollin’ in his grave if he knew one of his daughters had sunk so low as to give up ‘er freedom at the first sign o’ trouble!” She’d been looking forward to a good chase, but more than that, she was furious that her foalhood view of the silver horses as fast, clever and cunning, something to aspire to, had been suddenly shattered into oblivion. All she wanted to do was kick the little whelp until it killed her. ”Oh, THAT’S RIGHT! Neigh for help because you’re too d**n useless to do anything yourself! You are not worthy of the title you carry, you sad, horrible, pathetic, spoilt little piece of filth!” Lori was apparently so disgusted she managed to seethe her way into silence.
Jack wasn’t sure what to do with Lori’s sudden loud neighing except to give her a smack on the withers with the reins, and it seemed to do the trick. The mare was suddenly feeling very tense underneath him and he was at a loss as to explain why. Still, there was more than his moody mare to worry about and he was sure she’d have enough sense to work through it. Jason quickly managed to rope the creamy, and in her current state of despair, it seemed useless to add his own rope to drag her back. This was... not what he had been expecting hunting a silver horse be like, not in the least. Still, maybe that meant she’d be easy to break. ”Er, alright. That was weird.”
Sam was the only one looking pleased with the affair. Feeling satisfied, he sat down, and then looked at Lori. ”Ah, come now, don’t be so hard on her, she knows when to submit to her superiors.” he laughed, wondering how amusing it would be to try and scare the daylights of the new addition. He knew better, but it was fun to imagine the fillies look of absolute terror. ”Dun worry darling,” he said cheerfully to Yooralla, “they won’t do anything serious to ya. Just starve you for a week to make sure you won’t struggle, make sure they’ll always be able to find you by burning patterns into your flesh, tying you up, and beating you if you do anything to annoy them and holding you in little pens so you’ll never be able to run without them on your back, kicking you to make you go faster and pulling as hard they can on your delicate little mouth to make you slow up, putting heavy objects on your back and tying them up so hard it hurts. It’s really quite lovely here.”

Yooralla leered out to bite Lori but missed. She'd just about had enough of this. Usually she kept herself hidden away, but now she was being pushed. So what if she was silver? That didn't mean that she could magically find another way out. The only way out was back on the path she came, but that would be plain stupid. Looking around, she also snapped at Sam. Now she was angry. The humans still hadn't roped her, but where to go? Again she looked around, thinking nothing was ther- wait! Beside her, was that a thin path? It looked too high to jump, but maybe...just maybe. It was worth a try and a risk she was willing to take, jumping out of roping range, she put her weight on her back legs and sprang, scrabiling at the loose rock. "Almost there, almost there," she kept saying to herself. Yooralla gave one last kick with her legs and she was up, rearing up too. Unfortunately, she had forgotten about the blue heeler. The path would be no trouble for him. Hoping that this path would take her far away, she started a gallop and listened for the sound of other hoofbeats or barks.

Alison hadn't been listening to the conversation the boys were having, but was watching the silver filly, fascinated. Her coat was beautiful, and her breeding must be fantastic. A beautiful head, good conformation, probably a sweet temperament. A good prize for the occupants of Dead Horse Hut. Jesse felt sorry for the horse, and had actually been looking for a way to trick her owner and let her escape. Jesse was in the middle of looking over her shoulder when the filly bolted. Alison immediately slapped her neck, startling the mare, who acted up a bit more than she should have. The mare shied to the side, in front of the other horses, before bucking once and falling still. Alison cursed and tapped her sides. This time, Jesse ran after the filly who was nearly away.

Letting loose his rope, Jason hoped this would wind up as easily as it seemed to be going. . OOC: Whoops, I'm sorry. I meant that to be Jason's attempt at roping her, my fault, its a bit vague. Are we carrying on assuming Jason never tried to rope her?

Ooc: Opps! Im sorry lol, but could we pretend that he missed? Otherwise this thread will be cut short, when it could be a long chase!
