OOC: This is getting chaotic. =D
Peeking out from behind a boulder, a pair of glassy eyes flashed. They belonged the none other than a dingo, and one dingo in particular: Junco. The dog stared hungrily at the precedings down below, where the wild crashing of hooves rang in the air. The noise had attracted Junco to the scene, from curiousity and a ravenous appetite. But the dingo cared little about the fight; what really caught her eye was the small group of mares and foals. All were unprotected, as whoever was the lead stallion was now preoccupied. Junco's rosy tongue swiped over her lips. She couldn't let this chance escape. As she stared intensely at the collection of brumbies, one foal stood out from the rest. Junco zoned into the young horse, her head tilting forward from concontration. A shiver of excitment ran up her spine, and energy zapped through her limbs. Junco suddenly shot forward, propelling herself over the ground at a swift pace. Her strides lengthened, and soon Junco was only yards away from the group. With a couple of excited yaps, Junco dove toward the middle. It was a fool's move, but Junco was a fool after all. Jaws outstretched, she snapped at the nearest brumbies, not caring where her nips landed.

Nandalie chased after the roan, driving him further from the herd with more nips and barges. Then, his sides already lathered with sweat, he turned and stormed back to the grullo. He'd already made one pass as the herd, but thankfully Coorah had seen him off and was proceeding to gather up the mares into a tighter circle.
With an angry roar, the red roan leaped at the grullo, grabbing for his withers. Hoping the other roan was suffering from the blow he'd landed on his head, he would deal out some damage on the sabino-marked stallion while his friend was recovering.
Nandalie was too preoccupied with the challenging stallions that the dingo reached the mares unnoticed. He was alerted by the yaps as the canine drew close, but Nandalie was too far away to intercept it. He issued a warning neigh, advising the mares to kick out at it rather than flee. If they broke the group, the dingo would have space to get at the foals.

Gathering closer together was a good idea. Irawaddy helped Coorah herd the rest of the young herd closer, standing protectively on the outside, facing the intruding stallions with her ears pinned back in an uncharacteristic gesture of intolerance. Amarina and Camira moved in obediantly, only Wyuna stood unmoved, she wasn't too worried about these stallions, they were barely old enough to leave their own herds. ----------- Wangara allowed himself to be chased a fair distance, stopping only when the red roan turned back for another go at Kurruk. He would help his friend in a minute but first he needed to catch his breath...Sides heaving and rump stinging from the bites he realized that his head hurt also. This mare-winning business wasn't the glory it was made out to be. Suddenly, to his horror he noticed a dingo slinking towards the herd. He squealed warningly to the mares and stallion. Though he was deeply resenting the red roan he did not wish to see any of his foals fall prey to a hungry canine. ----------- This time Kurruk managed to dance out of the way before the roan's teeth made contact. He struck out with his foreleg, backing up to get enough room to rear when from out of the corner of his eyes he noticed a dingo. Distracted, he swung his head round in alarm, narrowly missing the roan's hooves. He saw the dog go for one of the foals and with a squeal of range lunged for the dingo's scruff. --------------- Irawaddy noticed the dingo long before Nandalie did, what with the red roan being preoccupied in fighting and all. She ushered Amarina and the two year old filly back, standing between them and the mad animal. With relief she saw Coorah by her chesnut colt. Wyuna, finally moved from her inital position, dark eyes rolling as she backed away from the beast with a warning squeal for it to keep away.

Coorah was very satisfied when her hooves flew through the air, and squealed defiantly at the top of her lungs once the stallion veered away. Her colt watched with wide eyes, frightened beyond belief but also exhilirated from watching his mum beat up a mean guy who was trying to hurt his dad. The other mares had grouped up tightly, and the foals were protected. All of them were shielded by their mums, so when the Dingo came, scaring the living daylights out of the sooty mare, it had nothing to attack. She bared her teeth furiously at the dog, and turned so her hind legs were facing it, while she soothed the terrified babies. Coorah would have loved to go and chase the Dingo away, but that would mean leaving a gap in their defences against that Dingo.

Tex unfortunately that is slight Godmoding, something that is frowned upon as you need someone's permission to launch an attack of that magnitude and it is up to either a mod or the other player to decide whether or not the attack sticks. Also you did not mention in your other post that your character kicked out.
It would be excellent if you made some slight changes to you post, sorry if this causes any inconvenience but it is the rules I'm afraid. If you didn't know it was a rule until now that's fine just as long as it doesn't happen again.

Junco's exhilaration quickly turned to panic as a dozen different brumbies squealed, kicked, and lunged at her. The dingo was too close to the mares to stop in time, so she careened into Coorah's heels. The impact jarred Junco, but she gathered herself quickly and scrambled to flee from the brumbies' deadly hooves. Disorientated by a dozen screaming voices and an uneven balance, Junco suddenly found herself in the path of a raging stallion. She jumped up in the air as Kurruk's jaws reached down to snatch her, and she landed in a very uncomfortable position: right on the stallion's nose. Junco hardly had time to utter a yelp before she the memento flung her through the air. The dingo remained suspended in the air for split seconds before she crashed into the ground. Pebbles grazed Junco's skin as she skidded across the earth, her limbs flailing. The dingo didn't have time to recover from the shock; she immediately jumped up and scrambled away from the brumbies. Junco panted heavily as she desperately tried to get as much distance between her and the horses as possible. After a few yards had been covered, Junco hurled herself into a thicket of bushes. She laid down right there, catching her breath and fearfully keeping watch for a surprise charge. She was definitely not going to do this again, not without a decent overlook first.

That stung. He should have been the one to save his mares from the dingo but instead it was his adversary? With another squeal, the strawberry roan chased after the grullo and snatched for his withered again. His friend seemed to be out of action for the moment, so hopefully he could convince this youngster that going after his mares was not a good idea.
His mares had done a good job of scaring off the dingo, but for the grullo to take the last blow was infuriating. Nandalie would not have caught up in time. At least it was gone now, and he could focus his attention on driving off these stallions.

Kurruk's eyes widened in shock as the dingo suddenly flew through the air and landed, of all places, right smack on his nose. He sneezed as she bounced off, her bushy tail tickling the insides of his nostrils. Thankfully the horrible creature ran off then, he would have considered her a fool if she hadn't. Suddenly he remembered he was in the middle of a fight and turned to see the red roan charging him. Caught off guard he spun awkwardly and bolted to the right, the roan's teeth just grazing his shoulder. It still stung though, and Kurruk could feel it start to bleed slightly. He turned to face the red roan, glancing awkwardly at the mares. This had gone far enough. He was ready to quit if the other was, he could tell Wangara was finished too. But how to make a dignified retreat? Kurruk didn't think it was possible. With a defiant snort he turned and trotted over to Wangara, who squealed once more. Kurruk nipped his brother lightly on the shoulder, they were beat, this was no time to be issuing more challenges. With a shrug Wangara swung around and trotted off, tail clamped low between his legs and ears flicked back. With one last look at the mares, Kurruk turned to follow. ---------- Irawaddy was glad to see the stallions had finally seen reason but even more relieved that the dingo had run off. What a crazy animal to charge a group of mares and foals. She shook her head before anxiously nosing Amarina all over, making sure her roan daughter was unhurt. Amarina just stood still and allowed her mother's touch. The nervous filly was still in shock from all that had happened. ----------------------- Wyuna, though she didn't show it, was glad to see the stallions go. As for the dingo...she pinned her ears at the mere thought of the stupid animal. She didn't like to admit it, but she had been scared. The thing was clearly out of it's mind and she'd feared for her own life as well as Camira's. She glanced at the palomino and was disgruntled to see that her anxiety was plainly evident. Her daughter had to buck up a little...you weren't supposed to show weakness. It was true, Camira had been very anxious indeed, to say the least. She was glad the dingo had been chased off, even if one of the intruding stallions had had the last word with it. And she was very happy that Nandalie had won the fight, even though he had been fighting two horses at once. Suddenly remembering him, she turned her head to look at him, nickering softly in gratitude. He had kept them safe.
